Congrats! This is a beauty. I got mine in 2019 too and is in 225 size. The price you got is really a steal for such mint condition. I really loved using this of all my reissue bags.
Usually,the price for 226 is slightly higher in boutique. But in preloved market, 225 size is highly sought and in fact their prices is higher than 226. I used to have a 226 in dove grey but sold off earlier as my hubby find it too big on my frame esp I try to wear it crossbody.
You can try asking if can get adjustment since the retailer made a mistake of size.

I'm looking at a preloved 225 and the owner says the bag had gold chains and now the color has faded to silver-looking. Is that normal for reissue? Can someone confirm?
I think it's pretty common for the gold to start to come off of the hardware! The underlying metal is silver. If you take a look at used ghw 2.55s on Fashionphile/other preloved sites it's actually seems easier to find reissues with faded gold hardware than those without.
Hi everyone! I’ve been going back and forth about selling my mini Reissue in navy w/ antique gold HW for one in the 225 size as I often find myself wishing the mini looked slightly bigger, especially when wearing it double strapped on my shoulder. The fact that the mini is so HTF is kind of what is holding me back from selling it. For those of you who own the mini, 255, or both, do you think it’s worth the jump in price between the two sizes? If I do purchase the 225, it will most likely be in the classic black distressed calfskin, but I am still torn between ruthenium and the antique gold HW. Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks (:
IMO HW a makes for a totally different bag. I’m an so black HW person (or a brushed PHW H person), so I would prefer darkened so or ruthenium HW. i wear gold HW rarely, and never with the reissue style. Just my personal preference though.
If you decide the mini size really doesn’t work against your frame, and you won’t wear it, then go from there. Otherwise, if circumstances permit, keep the mini and purchase the 225 in ruthenium HW. From my understanding the 225 is a bit smaller than the medium. I do recommend since size of bag to your frame is important, you should try on in person. JMO
I think it would look slightly big if worn crossbody but not if worn on shoulder.
I have both sizes and I do love both. I got the 225 first and was wearing it non-stop during the first few months. I’m 5’3” so both sizes work. Would recommend you to try comparing them both in store if circumstances permit. As for hardware choice, it's totally a personal preference. Sorry I’m not much help here!
I seen the mini reissue in navy w/ brushed gold hw before and it looked so gorgeous!
Rhw, silver hw for the easy casual edgy look as usually ghw will feel dressy. The so black hw is easy to wear, more chic type of look. Very up to each preference and taste. The only brushed gold hw I had is the mini red tweed reissue.size wise depends on your usage. But I adored size 225 and mini as they served diff look and usage.
I adored my 225 so black so much and I got a mini so black 'lil sis'. Actually I like to add on a mini black reissue with brushed gold hw , can be used as small purse for evening use when I feel like dressing up for dinner. But when my SA offered me the mini so black in June, I just could not resist the pretty lil one. I think they are definitely keeper for me though I yet to use the mini version yet since I been using my mini tweed version.

I’m also 5’3, and have been wearing my Reissue (albeit in the mini size) non-stop. I love the style and practicality of the bag and would like to wear it all year round, but I just find the mini to be slightly too small on me in the winter when I’m in thicker coats, etc. How do you find the capacity of the 225 in terms of what it can fit? Thanks!

Thank you for sharing photos of your bags! They are both so chic! I will definitely need to go into the boutique to compare. Side by side, the 225 appears more rectangular. Do you find the 225 and mini to fit a similar amount? Thanks!
People often say these 2 sizes have similar capacity due to the double flap of the 225. But I found that 225 definitely could fit more the way it’s compartmentalized. If you size up from the mini, I believe you will feel the difference. The chain length is the about same.
Yes I think due to length and also 225 size is double flap, making the bag more ‘structure’. I agreed with @monkyjib with her comment above. At first, I thought mini ‘S capacity seems to be same as 225, actually 225 can hold slightly more with extra compartments. Normally for mini, I try to have essential stuff and with battery bank if I going to be out whole day.I m now carrying my 225 to work. A snap shot of what I put my stuff inside.
Mini umbrella (been raining at my end)
Cardholder, lip balm/lipstick, tissue pack, some cash in compartment and my phone, my house key at the tiny.
Do try it out at boutique to get a feel.
