Purchased this afternoon from Galeries Lafayette!! I made an appointment for my sister to go here for me and was not very hopeful she would come across it. I wanted to get her in to Rue CAMBON or Montaigne instead but all those appointments were booked.

She went into the Galeries Lafayette appointment and they didn’t have what I wanted (mini CF/mini top handle) but she exchanged info with the SA. About an hour later the SA contacted my sister and found one, I got SO lucky!!

I’d suggest if you’re on the hunt for something try every single store, and look everywhere in the store too. Make sure an SA is helping you and exchanging info in case they do come across it, let them know what you want! Last time I was in Paris I found the exact bag I wanted at the last Chanel store I went to. The SA’s all told me they didn’t have it and somehow I found it tucked away in a display case in the back corner of the store.

It might seem hopeless but it’s worth a try, good luck everyone!!

Congratulations! Yes, French SAs are awesome because they don't mind transferring stock between stores and if it's available in Europe and not reserved they can transfer it to you!

Visited quite some stores and no minis and vanity bags, taking a peek, shelves in the closests were almost empty and just rather uninteresting stuff displayed in the store.
Also noticed that the main stores (Cambon, Montaigne) had a waiting list and were quite busy while other stores like Printemps, Rue Royale and Bon Marché were relatively quiet and hit did not matter whether I had an appointment or not since I could be helped immediately anyway

I had a lovely shopping experience at Le Bon Marche in August 2021 with an extremely pleasant and helpful SA. He gave me his card/contact information which Ive unfortunately misplaced! I’d like to think he’s still there and would like to secure a visit in July. Hard to describe his appearance beyond tall, trim and well groomed (yes that’s almost every French man :smile:), with a friendly demeanor. Anyone have a contact here? Perhaps they could decipher his identity from the information on my receip? Thanks
