honestly, I don't know... I thought that at least for Europe it would happen at the same time... I wouldn't wonder if there was a difference between the continents that it happens at one place earlier than at the others...

I will visit my local boutique (Munich) in a few days and will have a look at the prices of the classic flaps... maybe it already increased in all german boutiques... At least the price for the GST seems not to have increased up to now... That's another thing: I thought I wrote it here, too but I thought all classic will increase at the same time or maybe there's a difference, too between the classic styles? classic flaps increase earlier than the GST for example? Questions, questions...

I will try calling my SA in Berlin and ask about the price tomorrow..
And your question about the price increase at the same time - the answer is no. I remember when the price increased last year (or last 2 years I can't remember lol), the price in Paris and London increased first and obly 2-3 weeks later followed by the price increase in Germany.. I remember it clearly because i was ordering a bag for my aunt and was suprised since I had to pay for the old price when at that time Paris and London already started with new price.. So yeah, i think that dependa on the countries..

no there is no date known yet. I guess usually they'll be notified few days earlier. but he said sth price just go up when they got the new merchansise in. So it really hard to tell. Ex. the petit shopper just increase by $200 and there was no notification earlier so.

I read elsewhere on this forum that prices in Japan will go up on June 1. I wonder if this just for Japan due to the Yen depreciation or worldwide? Getting nervous because its been almost a year since the last increase and I'm planning trip to Paris in late June.

I went to the store (in Amsterdam, Europe) yesterday and my SA said there probably won't be an increase soon. I hope she's right!

I recently spoke to a sa regarding price increase.
He said the main reason behind this move is to standardise all prices worldwide so they will be more uniform thus will be paying very similar price tags no matter which country you're in.

That would be a bold and ambitious move on the part of Chanel to try to control the valuation of all currencies around the world in such a way. Interesting.

Yes very interesting.
He added that australian prices are already a tad higher compared to the rest of the world thus will be spared from any price hike this time round.
For example large classic caviar flap is $5, 290
And a jumbo $5, 890 ( irregardless of tax rebate if travelling)(so gross)
How much is the rest of the world paying?
