He added that australian prices are already a tad higher compared to the rest of the world thus will be spared from any price hike this time round.
For example large classic caviar flap is $5, 290
And a jumbo $5, 890 ( irregardless of tax rebate if travelling)(so gross)
How much is the rest of the world paying?

I hope your right! Australian prices are already crazy.. If there was to be a price hike in Aus a jumbo would be almost $2000.00 more than in Europe... which is basically an airfare, so I might as well get the holiday and the bag rather than be the bag here.

$1 Aud = .75 Euro
We will leave tax rebate out of the equation as thats a perk only from travelling.
So the $5, 290 Aud classic large ( 10 INCH ) bag will cost $3, 943 Euro .
Can anyone give me an indication the cost of the bag in Europe?

So a direct conversion will give us £3, 373.
Again can someone provide the cost of the bag in London pretty pls?

The Aud exchange rate has been almost at par to the Usd for a while now
So can someone also share the price of a classic 10inch caviar flap in US pls.

Thanks I now have the euro price of a classic caviar flap at $31,00 if purchased in Europe and it cost Australians $3,943 Euro ($5, 290Aud converted with .75 forex rate)
Again proves that there is much price fluctuation with chanel products from country to country.


I conclude from my findings that uniformity in prices to end the staggering price differences worldwide is long overdue.

Yes, that's what I'm thinking, too - the price for the classic flap will increase around 300 Euros... Bobo, you wrote one week ago (May 22), that you called Berlin and jumbo was still 3450 Euros... and pien wrote that her friend bought the jumbo for 3750 ten days ago, that would be May 19... I don't think they decrease a price, so pien199: Could it be your friend bought a maxi or did you maybe get the price wrong???

That's really confusing... I'll probably call the Berlin Boutique and my local Boutique (Munich) tomorrow and ask for the prices of classic flaps...
