went to bloomies today and asked the SA @ chanel abt the price increase, she said she hasnt heard anything (yea right)

I just called my SA at Saks, he said the price increases will be in May, not April, at least at Saks. They will have triple point event starting Thurs April 10th, but not EGC event... Just want to clarify. So, you can do a pre-sale now. He is doing pre-sale for me and not ring it up till April 10th to secure the item I want.

it's not EGC but if you buy 2 handbag total 1k, you get 400 GC back, not sure if all Saks are doing it, but I have a post in Deals & Steals forum for those of you like more details, or feel free to pm me.

I think that has something to do with the increasing prices. But, I think they also do this to make it more exclusive.

just rang up chanel at heathrow airport london, they just had an increase like a week ago and the jumbo caviar flap is now £1260, tax free £1072.
