Chanel no longer provides tracking information for shipments?

Last time when I purchased from a stand alone boutique, I was provided tracking number when I asked. Not sure if anything has changed since then. But when I purchased from NM, I received notification email regarding the tracking as if you purchased anything on the NM website.

I didn't even realize that because after I get an email of the receipt from a SA, shortly after, I'll always receive an email with tracking information. Now that I think about it, i was always notified by Fedex, generated by own fedex account, not initiated by Chanel.

I would advise downloading the FedEx app and sign up/register your address, I automatically get notified via email and texts for any inbound shipments to my address and track them on the FedEx app with options to hold/delay or release signature, etc.

Just wanna echo this. I use FedEx app on my phone to track my purchases from Chanel. It’ll show up on the app once the boutique ships the bag out. You’ll get tracking progress and expected day of delivery.

I order from the NYC Madison boutique and always get fedex tracking information. I actually just ordered a bag last week and received the tracking information the day after I purchased it.

They’ve never given me a tracking number, it’s annoying. But you can sign up for FedEx delivery manager and get an email whenever something is shipped to your address from any sender- including Chanel and anything else you might have ordered. It’s been really helpful, sometimes I get a FedEx notification before I get a shipping confirmation from whatever store I ordered something from.
Yes! Fedex delivery always notify and you can tell because it is always come from CB#(store number) as shipper ;)Chanel always send any (no matter the cost including beauty) as 'direct signature required' so you can't reroute or hold at location anyways, till you miss the delivery for more than a few times, then it gets stored at a Fedex location

I think not only Chanel but some other retailers also are not officially tell customers their tracking number (although sometimes sales associates tell you mistakenly or ignoring the store policy) I think it is just for their security.... But they can always track it for you if you inquire and let you know where it is or if there's any problem!

OP I recently made a purchase and they wouldn't give me the tracking either! The SA even went so far as to crop it out of the FedEx screenshot - I thought it was SO WEIRD but it must be a thing they're doing! Luckily my FedEx app popped up with it, or I'd have been really annoyed.

Hi does anyone know of any way to get updates on tracking? I didn't realize Chanel doesn't give out tracking information until after I had purchased my bag to be shipped. If I had known I would have arranged for pickup a different day. Fedex in my neighborhood is notorious for never ringing the bell and signing for my package so often times I will have a package sitting outside my door or in the lobby of my building for half a day before I notice the tracking has updated. I tried contacting my SA but he hasn't responded to me and I tried calling the Chanel store but they never answered. I'm feeling super anxious and I hope someone can help a girl out.

Yes! make an account with Fed Ex and UPS. Make sure to sign yourself up for notifications. sign up for all the notifications- that way, you should get a text about the movements of your tracking number (in this case, your bag). then, when you get that notification, you can use the link back to Fed Ex- and sometimes (if the sender/ Chanel) has permitted, you can change the delivery to "hold for pickup". anyway- moral of the story, do it all through Fed Ex accounts and UPS accounts- thats your best control.

Thanks! I tried to make an account with FedEx for the delivery manager but unfortunately it says I have to verify my address by entering a pin that they will mail me in 3-5 days
Ugh just my luck I guess I will just have to keep a watchful eye out.

This happened to me with a recent purchase. The boutique refused to give the tracking to the NM SA.
I hate that they won't give tracking. I had a similar situation about half a year ago I ordered a YSL bag from a different state and the store did not provide me with a tracking number however a wonderful customer service agent sent me emails everyday updating me the status of my package. I loved the service I received and honestly this is not the type of service I expected with Chanel.

I was able to verify everything using my email and phone number. Try again, call FedEx or see if you can do online chat with one of their employees. Unfortunately Chanel does not provide tracking information. Before they took over all the Saks, NM and Nordstrom boutiques those stores would provide tracking informatio.

I actually just tried this! I called FedEx customer support for help with the website and the customer service bot automatically recognized my number and that there was a package currently on its way to me. It assumed I was calling about the tracking for the package and I was able to sign up for text updates! I knew it must be my Chanel order since I currently have no other packages on its way to me.

So glad you got it worked out. From now on you should get messages about any packages coming to you FedEx.
