My friend just bought a Maxi in black carviar in Paris last week. You can consider going to Paris as a day trip.

I've also been looking for a Maxi all over London! It's not personally me checking out the boutiques in London but rather one of my staff who's currently assigned there. I've asked him to order a metallic grey maxi for me but all the Chanel stores he has visited / called told him that they won't have it until late July. I'm waitlisted at the Brompton Road store but I'll be calling the following stores (the bigger ones) regularly just to make sure:

Old Bond Street
Sloane Street
Brompton Road

i called sloane street shop..
the SA was soooooo sweet! she checked the system and told me there were no Maxi left. she could only find gray one in Dublin...and asked me if i want it..

she has also told me that the shop will be receiving the paris moscow collection sometimes next week and that if i'm interested in anything so she could hold it for me...

sooooo, no maxi for me..

Awww... no Maxi for you? I've been told by the Brompton Road SA that they would have the new Maxi (i.e. the new release) by late July or early August. Perhaps you can order and then have it shipped to your country?

I'm waitlisted at the Brompton Road boutique (2nd page of the wait list). I hope a Maxi can be "allocated" to me soon!

My SA in the US received a return on a Maxi in Caviar with silver hardware... it is in great condition, I already grabbed one in gold hardware . IM me if you want my SA info, I'm sure they will ship out of the country.

My mum and I are going to get our first Chanel bag tomorrow or wednesday, so I wanted to know which store in london is the biggest for bags/has a bigger selection? Well, we're actually probably going to get a black flap but I overheard a Chanel SA that there is sometimes a waiting list? I don't want to wait

Hello. I would suggest trying one of the boutiques first such as Bond Street or Sloane Square. From personal experience the dept stores like Selfridges and Harrods often sell out of classic bags quite quickly. However, they're not too far from each other...London's a small place...so you can always hop from one to the other. Good luck. X
