Hi, I saw your post on the other thread. It’s hard to say as there used to be caviar flaps when I used to go to the store - they used to be more readily available - but there is chatter on the Price Increase thread that they’re trying to limit stock of black/ beige classic flaps and 2.55 so perhaps this is why it’s getting harder to find them in stock?

Have any of the SAs said that they can call you back once it’s in stock? Have you tried asking them the question?

I don’t know whether classic flaps, or more broadly, but I have been told that there isn’t very much stock at all at the moment until the new collection comes in, which will be on the 12th November.

You could wait a week and see if caviar stock comes in with the shipment of new collection before you decide whether to keep your lambskin.

Stock of the black classics is at an all time low at the moment. I was in NBS beginning of October and I heard them tell someone that they had absolutely no black classic flaps at all. Whether it’s because of delays or reducing production I’m not sure but it’s very hard to predict what might happen now. In the past it used to be so straight forward in London - when I bought my black jumbo 6 years ago I went in store one evening and although they were out of stock they told me to just call in the morning and they could hold it for the day, so I did that on a day I could go back. Even last summer, I was able to look at medium black and beige CF in *all* leather and hardware combinations at the same time! Now it seems to be as difficult as the US to get a CF. I think you can only do as you are already and keep calling the stores if you are set on exchanging

Thanks both for the advice! Yea the SA's just told me that there's quite a long waitlist and to just call back everyday to try my luck

The Chanel 19 so black is calling to me
Could someone kindly familiarise me with how I go about asking to purchase it/put my name on a waitlist in London? And what the procedure is re payment, do they want a deposit or full payment?
Thank you!

I don’t think Chanel in the UK take deposits I think just have to try your luck in a boutique
Agree - you literally just have to keep calling the boutiques to check on stock. Best to try mornings first thing/when doors open and most likely during the week (as weekends they do not receive new stock). It's apparently a slow trickle of stock rather than a large delivery. So really is hit and miss on a daily basis. Once they receive the bag you are looking for and you call on that day, they can hold onto it until you come in to try the bag. Good luck and keep trying!

Any of you girls had experience of purchasing more than 1 bag every 2 months in the UK? I learnt that apparently it is a rule that's been in place for a couple of years now, which to me is baffling (lady at Chanel Heathrow T3 told me this) especially given I particularly liked the 21K collection.

It’s not affected me as I don’t buy that much but they do definitely check. When I was going on a waitlist for a bag the SA mentioned he had to check my account to ensure I wasn’t going to exceed the quota when the bag came in

Yea it’s pretty bad. I even went to Selfridges too, nothing.
I went to Chanel at Harrods and there really was nothing! Not just bags, ready to wear too. It was truly shocking and add to that there was literally ONE customer in the 1st floor boutique, trying on a cf in black sml and she didn’t take it. This was at 1:30pm on a Saturday- which should be one of the busiest times.
