I need some advice... I bought a Chanel classic flap today in black caviar leather with silver hardware from Harrods via their personal shopping option and from the receipt I can see the serial number starts with 29XXXXXX (so it was made in 2019).

Is it normal to be sold a bag that is already 2 years old?

They will ask about your account at Chanel. If you never buy anything before, you must make a payment with bank transfer with your personal details. If you have a Chanel account, payment process will be by phone call. Personal shopping will ask about your credit card details.

I haven’t experienced this before but have seen this on the forum where the store gets a shipment in with bags produced in previous years (people have said they managed to get minis from last year’s collection from the boutiques)

I phoned around and Harrods and Selfridges have waitlist but all the other stores said it’s too late to get on a waitlist so maybe try and contact Harrods/selfridges? Not sure if they will still take down names but think it is coming in lambskin next collection as well

I was in Selfridges yesterday. None left. My SA couldn’t even show me a reserved one to look at.

would love the light pink so much! Wondering if my SA would ask management to override the 60 day rule but with how popular this collection has been it’s probably not with me asking
