Hi!!! I'm not that familiar with Chanel bags and would love to get help from the rest of you.
I didn't realized that Chanel bags are mostly seasonal and frequently "out of stock". If I'm keen in getting black mini/medium flap bag, in gold hardware. Do you all put yourself on wait list most of the time? Or where do you get your bags from?
I'm not too particular about it having to be from boutique or brand new if it is hard to come by, more of in pristine good condition.

Anyone with Lambskin wallets that can share your thoughts? I really like the classic flap wallet in lambskin, it just feels and looks different from caviar. But I am really concerned with everyday usage issue. The only lambskin bag I have is my Boy but that was okay for me as I don't use it everyday. The rest of my bags are calfskin/caviar.
Any opinions please?

If I didn't recall wrongly, when I was in Japan few months ago, pricing in boutiques is before tax. You pay the full price after they add the tax for you, then go get a tax refund straightaway separately afterwards (if it's in a mall like Takashimaya etc.)
Not sure about the price you saw in Japan website though. Logically, it should be before tax.
You can also check chanelprices.com and compare with Japan price.

Haha np.. out of curiosity I went to compare pricing and surprising the classic flap is slightly cheaper than SG. but also depends on current exchange rate. What I like about Japan is they have nice pieces that SG didn't bring in or sold out. Enjoy!

All my wallets and cardholders are lambskin. Most of them are still in excellent condition except for the wallet that I used daily for years. As I usually just dump it inside my bags, the edges have worn off slightly. Other that that, it's still in good condition.
Maybe if you take better care of your lambskin slg, it will last for many years. Hth!

hello, i went tokyo last oct and bought something from the chanel boutique at ginza. the shop is able to charge me without VAT but you have to bring your passport along when you make the purchase. hope this helps. will save you the trouble of claiming tax at airport

hello, i have a lambskin quilted long wallet which i have used for almost 6 years. i do not baby it and just throw it into my bags. so far, only the corners look slightly worn out but other than that, the condition is still pretty good. hope this helps and saw your reveal post! nice color and the quilts are so puffy!!
