I just bought a so black jumbo from boutique and having it delivered to home tomorrow I thought so black would fly off the shelf so I was surprised to see it in store yesterday.
Did anyone see any so black slg?
:heart:Cool! I was considering the so black CF but on my last visit it was avail in medium size. I was hoping to wait for dark grey cf but like to see this in actual before I committed to buy. So I missed the chance when my SA called me last Tuesday that she received dark grey cf but in small cf. but only gave me 1 hr to confirm if I want. I was busy with my work and had to give it a miss. I also considering the so black but as it is in lamb skin, I hesitated. I like the black hardware.

so far I had so black reissue, mini reissue.
But can I check with ppl here if I purchase so black cf, does it quality for the leather restoration program within 5 years warranty period? My friend just purchased the black cf with the yesterday at ngc. I quite surprised this is still avail as I thought it will fly off the shelves as fast as dark grey cf.

Wah is that black spot on your finger the leather that peeled off causing the hole? My black lambskin with rose gold hardware (and all the other pieces I saw) also had some small holes on the leather but I didn’t witness any actual leather that peeled off like yours in the pic.

oooh do the holes in the leather look like the one in my pictures too? Actually when my SA brought out 2 pieces for me to look at, the other piece had a much bigger patch of leather that’s peeled off so I didn’t pick that piece. Sounds like it’s a batch issue with the lambskin this season..

And yes I believe the spot on my finger is the leather that peeled off. I saw something sticking out from the bag which I thought was just a speck of dirt so I brushed it off with my finger. Then I felt something flake off and realised in horror there’s a hole in my bag :sad:
 
Omg please return if it make you discomfort since it is such an expensive bag. Sadly to say Chanel quality isn't keeping up with it's pace.

The SA doesn't like return and hence she keep saying it's ok? I understand rghw is new but this isn't the way to sell I guess? Small flaw is still a flaw although it's not defect. Do what make you feel comfortable and don't feel pressurised by the SA.

Walked in on a Wednesday afternoon and met my current SA who offered me the rghw medium cf. I’ve seen so many comments that it’s fairly difficult to find a friendly SA and score a bag these days as the demand for cf is so high. A little worried that if I insist on returning, it will be difficult to get any other bags in future on my wishlist sigh…

I understand your concern. Can speak to the SA nicely that the hole did bother you and the fact black stuff appeared on your finger make you worried too. The SA should be understanding. Anyway you are doing return/exchange so it shouldn't affect her sales, just may be taken up abit more of her time.

Bear in mind Chanel warranty doesn't cover wear and tear on leather.

Most importantly, ask yourself how much do you love the bag? Are you disturb by the flaw? Decision is yours :smile:

I think I would be upset even if this is not my first Chanel bag haha. Cf is very expensive now, you definitely would want a good quality one. And honestly a good Sa might take you a few trips before you find one that you might like to stick to. And I feel cf will constantly come in, so just wait no worries. More impt to get smth you love. Even if you return, just exchange for something you want. And subsequently you can still text your SA for items you want and you can determine her reaction yourself. If you feel she’s cold, can always go down to the store and try to meet and get other SA contacts from there. Good luck!
 
Hi ladies, may I know how’s the exchange process for Chanel like? Do I have to exchange at the same boutique through the same SA or any boutique is fine? I recently bought the medium classic flap with rose gold hardware from the NAC boutique and am thinking of returning it. Have not used it yet but there’s a tiny hole which seems to be the leather peeling off??

My SA said it’s not a quality issue and should be just a pore of the leather, so she encouraged me to keep it. However, the hole really bothers me and I’m not too convinced that it’s a pore instead of a defect so I’m also thinking of just exchanging it for the medium caviar classic flap with gold hardware instead. Thanks in advance for any tips!
Its definately a no-no. U r paying close to 12k for it. Text your sa to let her know that u hv decided to return the bag & get it in caviar ghw. Ask her when it will be a gd time for u to look for her in the boutique.

It is definitely no-no for such price paid.
Is yours medium CF? There will be some new pieces arriving in next 2 days, please check with your SA to transfer one over to the store for you to check and decide if you still want to exchange another pc same rhw or ghw. I know this as my friend just bought same cf medium rhw but her SA checked and requested a new pc from warehouse to transfer over to store for her. Hope that helps.:smile:

Oh dear… Please get it exchanged. It’s not acceptable on a CF… I prefer this rose gold, it’s so special. But! if they don’t have anymore stock, gold is nice too!
 
Oh no sorry you may have misunderstood me. :doh: I meant how do you find the wear and tear/usage kind of thing hehe. Do you get to wear it much and does it go easily with your outfits?:biggrin:
To be honest, I have not used it since I got it :lol: but the lambskin on it definitely feels abit sturdier than the CF lambskin, more like the lambskin on Chanel 19. Tbh I am not super in love with the trendy cc but I believe it is a bag I will grow to like more and more in time to come. It’s very spacious and look very chic when dressed in smart casual - I made the decision to buy first rather than wait for it to grow on me eventually and then having to pay a grand or two more in future. I felt the same about Chanel 19 at first - got it when I was not 101% into it but after using it, I’m happy to say it is so casual and spacious that it quickly caught up to my business affinity as my “grab and go when not dressed to nines” bag. So far no issues with my C19, will be using the trendy cc soon and will update you again after I used it!

Oh dear, I have seen in other threads that lambskin these day have more and more “holes” in them. I previously rejected a caramel mini CF because of the same reason. It’s a very expensive price to pay for what you get so make sure you are 100% satisfied. Sounds like your SA just wants to keep her sales up - is this your regular SA? IMO, an ethical SA should not be pressuring the customer into accepting an item they are not entirely satisfied with and brush the concerns off after making the sale. My SA even asked the manager for a credit note for me when I changed my mind about a bag after I got it at the expense of him getting chided by his manager.
Bring it down within 14 days to ask for exchange or credit note from someone else - hopefully you meet a nicer SA.

If it bothers you, i suggest you exchange it thru the same sa. It is the easiest. She should be understanding about it
