I was in Venice in January this year and still can't get over how friendly and helpful/patient the SA's are! I am still in contact with them and got a mini coco handle just last week from the store. They had the new big stiches rectangular mini a few weeks back in charcoal and dark purple caviar but maybe already sold out.

They recently (in June) opened a second store (not the one right after San Marco square), is that the one you went to (or maybe both?)

Hi fawnhagh,

I went to their new store not far away from the one just by San Marco as it was under renovation. I think not many people knew where their new store is. We had a lady run after us to ask where the boutique is after seeing us with the Chanel paper bag :)

I would love to visit their new store! I hope you had a good time there - it's such an amazing city!

Hello cheburashka73, sure :) I can only help with the smallest size though. The whole caviar is 2600 EUR and the one with lizard handle is 2900 EUR. For my small (28cm) it was 2750 EUR but that was last season and I am not sure if the price is still the same.

Hi,
First post - looking for some advice from the ladies here. My wife's 35th bday is coming up in November and I wanted to kill two birds with one stone - take her on a 3-4 day getaway in europe + buy her a chanel bag there (more memorable + cheaper!). She's been expressing some interest in a smaller Chanel crossbody bag and i did some hands on research last week when I was at the Encore/Wynn in Vegas - lot of choices.

We live in NY and would be flying United, which goes non stop to most major western European cities. Among the major cities with a Chanel store, which one would you say is the best to visit at that time of year (climate, things to do, etc) AND will likely have the best inventory for her to choose from. I was thinking Rome may be a good alternative - hence the reply to this thread. Note that we've been to Paris several times and Madrid recently so would likely not go to either again for this trip.

thanks!

How sweet of you! I'd say, take her to Mykonos! The island is so beautiful and there's so much great restaurants to try out! They don't have a Chanel store there, but Linea Piu carries Chanel. They are a licensed store from Chanel to carry their products. And when I went in June, they had a good inventory of crossbody Chanel bags! (They did have classic minis, if you're on a hunt for one!) Rome is a good place, but the Chanel store there is rather busy. Have you considered Florence? It's way more relax than Rome and their Chanel store isn't as busy. Hope that helps! Have fun on your trip! Sending your wife positive early birthday vibes! [emoji178]

I would say Florence. It's a large boutique and they are extremely helpful imo. I was just there in July. If your wife doesn't see what she's looking for she should just ask because the bag I wanted wasn't on display but I asked and she said hold on and 5 minutes later she came out with the bag saying it had been on hold for someone.

Thanks for the suggestions. The challenge with Florence is United (using miles) doesn't fly there non-stop so it would require more travel for such a short trip. They only fly to Milan, Venice and Rome. How do you feel about the stores in Milan and Venice? But I believe it will be cold there in november.

I'm considering other cities outside of Italy as well so I created a post in the main shopping forum to get additional ideas.

Hello, I would then choose Barcelona (has the higher vat return, fantastic city). Or Venice (great city, had a wonderful time there getting my first Chanel). Milan is a great city, good chabel (did not get anything in that one, it was at the boy shortage time and I was looking for a boy) also if you go you have to eat at ristorante risoelatte (fantastic food, family owned new menu ever night as they get produce fresh every day). But I did not ever get my vat back from Italy. Spain, France, england came back fast n no issues.
