Need some etiquette advice please; I had a good department store experience with buying my first Chanel bag in the summer , so I texted the SA about buying another bag now.
He sent me a few options that were not what I was looking for; but in the end I chose one that was similar.
Turns out that SA was on vacation, so a colleague handled the sale.
I got the bag and really disliked it on me. It was too small and looked disproportionate on my frame so I returned it.
I got a return label from the department store.
My question is, do I need to text the SA that I'm returning the bag & why? I feel awkward since I was very enthusiastic about it in the photos.... but is it weird if they just see my returned bag without a text explanation? Or is that too much?

overthinking it too much. You liked the photo not on you. Return it and leave it at that.
It happens, I would not worry. Just reach out if/when you want something new.
I wouldn’t unless you have a text/chat friendly relationship with the SA. It’s no big deal, I’d just ship it back and have fun finding the next right bag!

Can I trust their authentication, or should I get a third-party check once it arrives?
I would get it authenticated again for peace of mind.

I’ve had my light denim Hermès sandals for two years with light to moderate use, and I haven’t sprayed them. So far, they show no signs of wear.
Hi Tpfers... Been trying to decide for days on getting a preloved Jumbo Black Caviar GHW series 16. She's being sold by a reputable reseller whom I have purchased from before, holo is intact but no card. Has an entrupy.
Purse is approx. USD 4200 in 8.5/10 condition. Is this something you'd consider? I'm interested to keep for myself but also want the option to resell in the future. Thanks for any helpful advice!

I don’t think I would care about the card as long as it has the entrupy and they hologram. But that’s just me. Also what does series 16 mean ? And how do I not know :/ lol
series 16 i think refers to the year it was made...Same. I bought my one and only vintage flap without the authenticity card from Fashionphile. Had the bag authenticated by Zeko, Leather Surgeons, and (just for good measure) Real Authentication. Felt like that was 4 authentication sources, which gave me great comfort. I can’t speak to resale value, though.
