Hi all- has anyone noticed there seems to be a variation in the ghw between classic flaps? I viewed a small black caviar cf with ghw which seemed so bright and yellow (looked like vintage but wasn’t) then viewed the exact same model in another store and the ghw looked almost like champagne or silver … has anyone else noticed this variation in ghw or am I just being super picky!!
I haven’t noticed a big variation in the exact same bag but they don’t always have two of the bag in stock in the same store to do a fair comparison.
Some variations are done purposefully between styles and different seasons of course.

Hi everyone, I am eyeing a pre-loved large GST either the 2002 version 16cm depth, full zip at the top, and feet at the bottom but only labelled "good" condition by the auction house (but can't see the reason why as it looks pretty good to me with no corner wear, pristine interior etc) OR the newest edition in excellent condition by the seller but only 13.5cm depth, compartment and no feet...

Any advice on which one to get if any? I read reviews online saying that the bag is quite heavy but I still haven't managed to find a tote bag that a full zip + a lot of depth + soft yet structured enough...

Thank you.

Random question hoping someone knows the answer: if you return an item, does the original commission get deducted from the SA that sold the item to you, or do they keep their commission?
It does when I sold retail in college I am not positive how they get commission at Chanel though. When I worked sales I would be able to see the "amount" that was returned deducted from my total, returns are why your sales commission does not usually apply to your paycheck until the next month. I have returned once and my SA has never said a word except give excellent customer service. Hope that helps.

Very helpful, thanks very much.

Random question, does dyeing a vintage change decrease its price in the long run? Nothing dramatic just a hint of a different shade on the outside. Eg. light light lilac but the inside is white or beige? would it make a difference? honest opinion :hrmm: because I can't find the shade I want:confused1:
Yes that would decrease a resale value if you want to customize it but sounds like a great idea have fun!

Hi guys! I am new here and have been wanting to get this flap card holder as my first Chanel purchase. I contacted Chanel’s customer service and they advise me to check a boutique or get an SA. Does anyone have any tips on how to score this piece or have a nice SA that wouldn’t mind helping a newbie? I am from Chicago. Only one boutique in my city sadly. I’m not from Chicago, so I don’t have an SA suggestion. But you should just call the store. I was terrified to make that first call or go into a Chanel boutique, but I was so surprised about how friendly and helpful they were —and still are. (I felt like such a fraud calling and going into the boutique those first few times — it’s like I was worried that security would escort me out for wearing pants from Costco…).

All that being said, they may not have that same flap cardholder in stock - those flap cardholders go pretty quick. I have been trying to find one in the right color and it has proved elusive.

Good luck! I hope you are able to get this!

Thank you! I will try to make the trip or at least call the boutique later on today. Hopefully they do have it if not I wouldn’t mind it without the hearts and just a regular black and gold flap card holder.

There’s a Chanel in NM in Michigan ave! I found them more helpful and easier to get into than the boutique. The boutique always has an hour long line while NM has none

Hi guys! New to the forum. I've been trying to track the sweetheart black mini in caviar from the 23p collection with no luck. I'm based in Chicago, and have tried the flagship store and NM a few times. I was wondering if anyone knows if a similar bag will be included in the 23s collection? I'm really interested in mini in black caviar with adjustable chain.
