Hi all, I wonder if anyone can help a lost gal out? I bought some vintage jewellery (it was a find!) with some vintage Givenchy Earrings, vintage Furla brooch, vintage Trifari paste necklace and earrings set and this rather broken Chanel brooch. I'm not entirely sure this one is authentic. Could someone knowledgable please take a look.
Pro's, it seems like it is gold plated rhodium (picture of where the pin end has snapped off)
It does have a good deep engraved plaque
The little bobbles around the stones look like other vintage Chanel brooches
It is heavyweight
It has a luxurious feel to it
Con's
The plaque only has the number 12 on the left, cc logo in a circle in the middle, and a R symbol in a circle to the left. No 'made in France'
or year. I have looked at countless places online and can't find any brooches with plaques in this format
A couple of the smaller stones have come out
It is broken, the pin at one end has snapped off, not sure how it happened, must have been some force as the metal is solid!
If genuine, which it does feel like it is, but I just don't know. I'd love to have it fixed at a jewellers and wear it! It is a nice large size, very twinkly, love the Camelia cluster and the colour way and i'm thinking of all the jackets/coats I can wear it on.
