I'm still so obsessed with the boy bag! I've been wanting it in a specific combination especially in the chevron but my SA told me that boy bag in chevron is seasonal. Does anyone know how long would that be? I know it's so hard to predict!
I absolutely love the boy bag. I don't really follow whether it is fashion or not. Right now, the boy works for my current lifestyle, which is pretty casual. I do only own one boy however, I have contemplated getting another one. Mine is navy, with shiny light gold hardware.
And like everyone has said, the boy and 19 bags are very different bags and really not comparable. Both are beauties though!

I have one that I never use. The flap is cumbersome imo and these days I prefer bags with outside pockets like the C19.
But I’m keeping it and am sure I’ll wear it again in the future.

Honestly, i have a reissue in Jumbo and just received this small boy as a gift from my husband and I absolutely love it! I don’t think it will ever go out of style, just like the other chanel bags. Even the diana is so popular right now preloved. If it fits your style, go for it!

My favorite and most used Chanel bag is my boy hands down. So functional and versatile being crossbody. Hands free is a must for me
I am not sure they will put the amount in dollars in France as the currency is the Euro. So honestly, it seems a bit dodgy.
I really like the boy bag in the small size. I really regretted not buying one from a particular collection becauuse I already had that color/hw combination in another leather. I recently tracked one down and got it and so happy that I finally have that leather. Please enjoy you beautiful boy in great health. How wonderful of your husband to give you this true stunner!
I like the boy and see girls carrying it around nyc pretty often. Who cares what’s more in fashion? There will always be a new it bag. The 19 is newer and hotter now but I personally don’t like it. If you enjoy looking at and carrying the boy then get one.
youve been seeing all those you tube fashion bloggers dissing the boy lately like I have, haven’t you. It’s so annoying. I hope they don’t influence you that way if you really love the bag. They say the same doodoo about the chloe Nile and I’m keeping mine regardless of the sad things they say. None of them dare say anything about those overplayed Gucci bags but they attack the boy. LOL. Nearly 10 years of popularity with the boy and suddenly they can’t stand the bag? (And handful I saw have literally said they can’t stand the bag anymore)
I get where your question comes from, bc it seems like there is a downward turn to the interest in the boy.
But the era of the it bag is a little bit over to me. And none of the current “it bags” catch my attention, partly bc the designs don’t interest me, but also because luxury bags are now treated like fast fashion.
If you like the boy bag, it’s worth it to you. If you want to use it as your “next hottest newest purchase” maybe you might not get the wow these 19s are having.
