OOOOh. which costco was it... and how much did you see it for? :flowers:

It's on the border of Hawthorne & Manhattan Beach.. ;). Right next to a bunch of car dealerships. The price of the white one was between 4k and under 5 for sure, I can't exactly recall. All I remember was seeing the 4 in front.... of the last 3 digits.. and telling myself to "dream on woman!... you'd scratch that in an instant!".

^^ from someone who works there --lol. you better watch out or the costco police will come in and flame you in the thread.:police: for those who are interested, i will be following up with corporate by letter (which is what i was instructed to do by both of the allegedly idiotic customer service people) and will post my findings once i get it.

I have to admit I am curious as to why several of you are so opposed to Chanel being sold at Costco, in the event it is 100% Authentic. I, like most of you, loathe fakes, but are we such bag snobs that seeing them at a slight discount & readily available (in extremely limited quanities) for the general public makes us upset??? I guess I don't get it? I see a girl in my city with an authentic Chanel rather seldomly & if I did see someone w/ an authentic bag that she happened to get for $300 less than its original price why do I care?? Are we afraid our bags (or we) we be less "Exclusive" or "high-end"? So for that reason we feel like calling all over hoping to have the items removed from the stores so other people can't buy them? WHY?? If you prefer the boutique experience, as I do...then great!! Shop there! Some people are very intimidated by the boutiques, but love Chanel (you can find multiple posts on this very subject on this forum) so why not allow another option? Why force people who are intimadated by the potential (and apparent) snobbery to buy off eBay where there is such a high risk for being ripped off & sold a fake.

I completely understand why anyone & everyone should & would be vehmently opposed to a legitamite retailer selling fake merchandise, however I am truly perplexed as to why some of you are violently opposed to the legitimate selling of authentic items...especially because if you do have a Costco near you, you would know they get about 2 BASIC Prada or Fendi bags every 4 months, so it's not as though it will saturate the market. BTW, I seriously mean BASIC. Like a nylon Prada or logo Fendi...nothing special, limited, current, etc.

Just wondering........

As for myself, the idea of something as elegant as Chanel being sold in the same store that sells hot dogs, frozen lasagna (yummy...) and wholesale electronics just turns me off. I don't like the snobs at the boutiques either, but I still put up with it because I love Chanel that much.

^ That's exactly how I feel! I am not going to say much more b/c my posts apparenly inspire people to write tomes and odes to Costco. To each her own.

I saw a selection of mademoiselle chanel watches, they were gone when I went back the day after. I also saw a Cartier tank francaise and some Louis Vuitton bags. They always get few pieces not a large amount of the same item.

Just wanted to thank you all for letting me know about the white j12 available at the costco in texas...My swanky mother of three, bought the white chrono j12 for 4400....
