Chanel at Costco

I think Costco is pretty well known to sell "grey market" items like luxury watches, Apple products, Clarisonic, etc. I know based on personal experience that the warranty is invalid if you purchase a Clarisonic from Costco (i.e. not approved retailer). I wouldn't want to risk that with a J12.

Oh my gosh really. I have bought many items from Costco thinking they were real ex. My dad's Tommy Hilfiger watch, my Skagen watch. I have also bought a MK purse and Long champ bag. I have always been satisfied with my purchases. But I would be devastated if I bought a lux purse or watch that wasn't the real deal. I have been eyeing a Leather Longchamp bag for the longest time. By the way what does " grey item" mean?

I thought it was weird that when I purchase my dad's watch it came with a Costco piece of paper that said manufactures warrantee was void.

I'm not sure about that myself. Many people get great deals on Chanel bags during sales (bags that still sell for full price at Chanel boutiques often) and everyone is thrilled about that, so I don't see what's wrong with Costco selling Chanel for less. It's really not much different for large stores like Costco versus large stores such as Hirshleifers or Barneys or Webster's or such. I've seen Cartier and Chanel watches at Costco, as well as many other brands (although I've not seen a Chanel bag yet personally). At least at Costco it's not about who you know or being a super VIP to get something on sale; it's out there for everyone to buy.

I also don't see the big deal in buying luxe goods at Costco. I Costco. Return policy alone is worth membership. Their jewelry case is always worth a moment of ogling whenever I get a chance.

Oh gosh...idk how much this watch is normally. I want to say 7K... I think that's what it said. Sorry I didn't pay much more attention I think the tag showed retail vs. their sale price-wasn't a bad deal for Chanel watch!

Costco got in trouble not a decade a go for selling fake Coach so I'd be really wary.
