Hey everyone, I’m a longtime reader and a fairly new poster. I thought I could contribute to this forum and the quality issues. So I got one of the first 22 bags that came out. It was the lilac purple last year. And it has held up fairly well but I have noticed wear and tear in the loops like a lot of you have posted. Fast forward to today at The boutique and I’m looking at black 22s and they are much much thicker leather than my purple 22. I’ve seen a few people post that they think that the reason some bags get more wear and tear than others is because some are just made of thinner leathers than others. And after picking up my new black 22 today, I have to agree with that theory. The leather feels almost twice as thick to me , so so supple and luxurious. I’ll post some photos when I unboxed it in the next couple days. I’d love to know if anyone else had a similar experience. . Oh and also, I’m wondering if Chanel has made tweeks to this bag because of the quality issues since the leather seems so dramatically thicker?? What do you all think about that?

As far as I know, price is still the same as last year. Small is $5100, medium is $5300, and large is $5800. Prices are in USD
Is anyone else a fan of the 22 backpack? I didn't like this bag whatsoever at first but now I'm obsessed with mine in black with gold hardware!

Wow so glad I got my medium a few weeks ago!! Modest increases compared to the CF, I will say.
Loving my bag and using it a ton for causal errands on foot or by car, packing extra sweaters to layer, etc instead of a gnarly old canvas tote shopping bag I was using.
Zero quality issues and leather in the new 22s seems VERY robust!!!
Is the 23c considered new 22s? I have it in the fun green caviar and it is so pretty and fun. I have only used it 3x since 12/2022 because I have been been using my reissue in black (less attention) more frequently. I’m just hoping the quality is there since I haven’t had that much time to test it.
23C is the first season for grained calfskin finish. The result from wear and tear might be different from the prior collections (smooth and metallic calfskins). Please share your experience too. I hope it wears well.

My husband brought me the 22 bag in black during this work trip, I am super happy as it's been very difficult to get hold of this item in HK. Before I start wearing this gorgeous item, I would really appreciate any tips or suggestions before using it? Do you suggest spraying some leather protection? He mentioned Chanel now has a 5-year aftercare on this bag, not sure if this is true?
