I think it is calf. Haven’t heard 22 made from lambskin. Newest released 22 in 23c is caviar. I got 22 black from 22k, feels softer after used for a while.

Agreed with Gere. I have been following the release of 22 quite actively. I haven’t seen any release in Lambskin. Did your product code/ description on the receipt/ tag says it’s calfskin? In my Chanel Et Moi, it says the material is Shiny Calfskin.
I am in Canada, and it doesn't say anything about the material on the receipt unfortunately.
Just wanted to post an updateThought I would do an update of my 22 bag since July. it is a medium black with SHW
I love it alot and have no regrets buying it. I have used this for office, for grocery shopping, for weekend getaways. I have even carried it in the rain (which poured down unexpectedly).
I have not used it as a garbage bag yet lol
Otherwise, I have been carrying it non stop for the first month and it is still in heavy rotation though not daily anymore but about once a week as I have a rotation with other bags
I have noticed the wear in one area where the chain rubs against the underneath at one of the opening areas, which is a known "issue".
Does it bother me ? No -because it is not going to break anything structurally and it is something I have expected (worse) to happen.
Otherwise nothing to report as the other areas are fine. Just to note in these pics, I have used zoomed in view and to put everything in context, these close up photos are enlarged when compared to the real size of the areas shown. so even the wear at that one area it is not noticeable when worn and no one is going to come so close to flip over my bag to look underneath when I wear the bag out an about, or look at it with a magnifying glass
The corners so far are free of wear I have taken a picture of one of the corners to show nothing is wrong as an example
The leather (bonded or not) is acceptable to me as a trendy bag. It also has softened a bit over time and I love it even more. I have bought this for trend / functionality, and it has served both of these key purposes fully.

Here’s my metallic blue, 5 months of use. No issues either. I am very happy with it and want another one, just waiting for the right colour combo.
I think it only came in pastel colours and a medium blue. I was eyeing the yellow caviar but passed up as too structured for a C22. Hey guys! I have been following this thread and I just got my first chanel 22 s in caramel color. I’m so excited to use it! However, when I took it out from the box, the smell of the bag was so strong. The smell is somewhat like a chemical smell, not the smell of new leather like the kind that smells in a New car leather. Whenever I drive, the smell will fill up the whole car and it give me headache. I’m not kidding here… wanted to get some advice if this is normal ? And how to get rid of the smell
