It looks like a leather garbage bag. If you are young and going for an expensive punk rock look, which is maybe what they were going for than I guess it works, but I don't like that look at all. At first I thought I would try it as I like a beach bag look, but I got the Deauville instead as drawstrings are just annoying and I don't like them on any bag. Does anyone love it?
I am starting to really like the look of the 22 bags, but reading and hearing about the quality issue with the leather is super discouraging. I also see that Chanel is coming out with the tweed version of the 22 bags. Will the quality be just as bad as some people's leather ones or maybe not as bad? would love to hear everyone's thoughts 
The fact that it was leather, in my opinion, was the best feature of the bag. A cloth drawstring bag seems even closer to a free dust bag sac. What is it about the bag other than it is a new style, do people like about it?
It is super soft, light weight, comfortable to wear and not fussy like the double flap. I happen to like the smell of it, which is leathery and heavenly to me. The style is chic and cool. Also comes with the little pochette.
While the 22 may not align with my personal style, I think it’s very chic. Though I’m sorry to hear about the controversy. I sincerely hope that the result of these price increases, changes in policies, etc. is better quality.

I have it as a backback and love that you can wear it in three ways: top handle, on one shoulder and as a backpack. It’s easy to use.
I also have the rubbing issue in one of the four holes but cannot see it without the flashlight of my phone. It happened immediately on the first day and hasn‘t gotten worse since. If it does I’ll rely on the warranty and hope for the best. Something about the bag just spoke to me.
I treat it as a fashion piece though and didn’t come for the quality as sad as it sounds.

OK so mine just showed up. Leather is nice & smells great..lol. I think I have a good one. I have to get it home though to have a real try on etc.
