^^^^^^^^^^^^ OW!!!!!!!!!!! Oooh,I knew I should'nt have looked for what your post was about! You poor thing! As you say for medical reasons, but I can't imagine doing it for aesthetic ones.( mind you I am the biggest wimp EVER when it comes to having anything done with my teeth or something! My dentist has to knock me out to do a filling I'm so bad!)

do you think if we had as much money as the celerities, would we do the same thing?? sometimes i felt being a celebrity all they could do was to look good...sometimes i do feel i am lucky that my job is not to look good. can't imagine what kind of pressure that it is

You know what, I love my looks...so I wouldn't change anthing about my looks...Now with most women, we hate certain parts on our bodies ie: stomach, thighs....I've have hate issues with those parts, but I know that it's nothing good ol exercise can't fix if I work at it.

Now, If I were someone with very UNDESIREABLE feature, who knows what I would do. But I do feel like so many of the celebrities are pretty and some even beautiful and THEN they start "tweaking" themselves" to become what Hollywood thinks is beauty and cookie cutter images.

Natalie Portman...I think her tweak enhances her....but she was pretty and unique before.

^^^^^^^^^^ You are one of the very lucky ones in that case,I happen to hate some of my features. My nose is too big,my head is actually tiny for my height,so I look like a pin head.In fact I am too tall for my bone structure,I'm constantly asked if I eat lots (meaning 'I bet you don't eat at all do you')
If my nose deep down bothered me that much, and I was'nt scared of the surgery,I'd change it.

That's a very interesting question. There is a lot of pressure to look good... although they tend to end up looking fake and not so good. So is there pressure to look good... or just fake?

It's not just the money, it's the access to the best surgeons and dermatologists.

The 'look' has become very plastic now. Real teeth have a shine to them and veneers are very matte and very white. People with perfectly lovely, natural teeth cover them with veneers. That's so odd to me.

Also, I think the majority have implants. They get so skinny and lose their boobs and have to put in fake ones. Well, they don't 'have' to, but they all do.

I find this all a bit distressing really. I like that more natural look from 2 decades ago... :shrugs:

Here's another one.

CLICK to make bigger....

ok, THAT is ridiculous. You CAN get lip injections that aren't as ....noticeable. I mean, can she NOT close her mouth? and the bottom lip - what is going on there??? They have so much money, they should be able to get stuff done right. Or do they just get used to looking to themselves after each treatment and then feel they need more and more - like perfume, you start to get immune to a familiar scent so you put on more and more....?
