No, the aren't hanging off the sandal but they are bobby pinned to the shoe to clamp them in place.

OMG! Some of these feet are HORRIBLE!!!

I too use to have ugly feet (hammer toes) and had them surgically corrected. Best 8 weeks of pain I ever went through lol.

OMG, now i feel so much better about my own feet!
I have always felt self concious about the fact that when i was 3 i broke my toes and they never healed properly so they curl under but at least i have never had a bunion or whatnot on my feet, yuck!
