off the topic...but I like those sandals. Are they Tory Burch? Anyone know what brand they are? thanks
I know they have injections to plump up a foot and things like that... but would you undergo surgery to beautify the bones in your foot? Say you can walk without pain... no bunions, but maybe you have hammertoes or ugly toes, sausage toes or a very wide foot or whatever people are saying is ugly. Why do people with access to the best medical and corrective/restorative treatment that money can by go around with their feet all jacked up?

Would you take the risk of surgery? I wouldn't. Not as long as I could walk just fine without it.
Oh that's different! You should do what you have to, in order to walk without pain.Of course I would! In a heartbeat. I have bunions myself, so I can relate--although I can't relate to walking without pain. I don't have corns or hammer toes, but my feet project quite a bit on the big-toe sides. I went to a podiatrist a few weeks back and he assured me that it's hereditary and not related to footware, but he also told me that the only thing that could correct my..."foot deformity" would be surgery. My x-rays looked horrible. The doctor also said that it's quite possible (he said that my case is about a 3 out of 5 as far as severity) that since I'm young (32) my feet will get much worse as I age (meaning more deformed and painful). Now, when I wear certain shoes (well, most any shoes) my feet hurt like crazy. Sometimes I'll be awakened in the middle of the night by pain, when I haven't had on shoes for eight or nine hours. By definition, bunions are painful, so I'm assuming (though possibly incorrectly) that even celebs who have them have aching feet--why wouldn't they want to correct that? I do wear shoes that hide the bunions (so I can go toeless as long as the bands are wide on the top of my foot) and my feet look just fine. BUT I am seriously considering having the surgery for my own comfort, to keep the problem from getting worse as I age, and for cosmetic reasons, too--I can be honest about that. Sure, I can walk just fine in 2009, but who knows how fine I'll be walking in say, 2039? My pain is manageable now, but who knows how much agony I'll be in in twenty years if I don't nip it in the bud now? So there are several reasons why I'd have bunion surgery, no matter the supposed risk. People have their feet operated on every day; no big deal. For me it's just a matter of timing. I'll be out of commission for weeks, even MONTHS post surgery, and they'll only correct one foot at a time, and they'll only do the second if and when there are no complations with the first. That could take years. So for me it's not "if" it's "when."
If I had the ugly ass feet these women have I'd be wearing the shoe boxes with the lids on instead of the shoes.I bet their feet are secretly
them out everytime they put on a pair of those stilts.
It's nice to know that celebs aren't 100% perfect (noone is, but still), but the comments on here surprise me.. Like I said, noone is perfect, why should anyone hide their feet just becuse others don't like the way they look?! If you don't find them pretty then the solution is simple: look the other way!! Would you tell a small child "put sneakers on, I don't care if it's the hottest day of the summer and you want your sandals, your feet are hideous, cover them up!!" What on earth gives you the right to do that?! The nerve of some people![]()
