Feet are so affected by the style/size of shoes you wear, as we all know. We weren't meant to have our toes squished into tight shoes. Looking at these pics, most of the shoes are too small. But no one wants to wear Birkenstocks or supportive tennis shoes...

Heredity plays a part as well. But incorrect fittings and narrow toe boxes do most of the damage.

The rocker suffers with a painful condition known as Morton's neuroma.

his has seen his toes become deformed and swollen after performing overzealous stage routines since the 1970s in shoes which were too small.
Steven has previously undergone surgery to treat his tired digits which became damaged thanks to his dancing.
He previously said in a statement: 'The doctors told me the pain in my feet could be corrected but it would require a few surgeries over time.

The "foot repair" pain was intense, greater than I'd anticipated. The months of rehabilitative care and painful strain of physical therapy were traumatic.
'I really needed a safe environment to recuperate where I could shut off my phone and get back on my feet.'
But Steven appeared to be pain free on his holiday with his family including his Hollywood actress daughter 35-year-old daughter Liv Tyler.
