Cartier Trinity ring yellowing?

Hi,

I bought a 5-band cartier trinity ring from Ebay, Cartier doesn't carry it in my local store (or online). I received it a few days ago and the white and rose gold bands look almost yellow.

What's lame is that the yellowing shows in all the ebay pictures except in one, which made me think it's the lighting. But now I find out that one picture is actually a pic they use in multiple listings! So it's not even from this ring. :nogood:
This is the one I bought, pic#2 is NOT of the ring listed: http://www.ebay.com/itm/161902507348

The same seller has this ring in a larger size, look at how much more contrast there is in this ring, and picture #2 is the same one listed on my ring:

For people who have the Trinity rings, do they turn yellow after a while? And if yes, does it happen fairly quickly or it takes a long time?
I'd like to know if I should return this and get one that hasn't been so heavily used (if the yellowing isn't common).

Attaching pic of the ring on my hand.

I can't handle it, I decided to return it  It's just too "all-yellow" to my eyes. I know it's supposed to be a subtle difference but this is too much.

I have found another one on ebay but the seller says there is no serial number inside, because it's a 15 yo piece and cartier didn't engrave back then. It's weird because the current one has the serial number, and it must be just as old! So I'm assuming that one is a fake.

I think it's just the nature of Cartier's pink gold. My trinity band's yellow and rose portions were nearly the same colour even before leaving the boutique. It certainly isn't as coppery as other 18k rose golds.

Thanks for the reply!
Is the white gold supposed to be so yellow? I think my issue is more with the white, doesn't the whole thing look yellow in this picture?

Cartier white gold on most pieces appears grey due to the lack of rhodium plating but definitely not yellow.

So pretty. Now I want one

I thought un-plated 18K white gold is always bit yellow. I see a lot of trinity rings on forums online that have yellowed, apparently with some body chemistries the whites turn yellow quickly, and with some they never do.
Like this one is yellowed IMO:

I'll try to find one in better condition.

The ring was just polished, it said on the listing and it looked quite shiny (though with patina). And I don't think Cartier does Rhodium plating on their WG, so it can't be that either.

I don't know ... it's weird.

I have had my trinity ring for nine years. Worn daily and the bands are still distinct in the colouring. The white gold band is greyish, as you say not rhodium plated. Hope this helps.
