Cartier Small Love Coming Off/any issues with lock?

Does the screw turn very easily? If yes, it may need to be repaired. You should hear a bit of a click when turned into the lock and also into the unlock position. It shouldn’t be so loose as to turn and unlock on its own.
Yes, it definitely screws easily. I don't hear or even feel a click at all. I fear that it's "stripped" or defective. I've only had it for about 4 months and I know I had a problem with it coming off after about a month, but twice? I'll have to call Cartier CS since this is happening. I don't want to chance losing it.

Once is user error possibly, twice would be an issue unless you're not locking it properly. I'd definitely visit the boutique!

Unfortunately, there isn't a boutique in my state anymore, so I'll have to deal with a CS online/phone. I'll have to mail it in myself. Thankfully, I still have the original box and the box it was shipped in (the white Carter box).

I figured it was something wrong because it should not be coming off like this. And when I tried to screw it back on this morning, I couldn't get it to tighten so I tried "unscrewing" it (counter-clockwise) to at least loosen the screw, and that wouldn't work, so it wouldn't tighten. Now I'm constantly checking my wrist to make sure it's still there. I'm really concerned.

I'd take it off now, no use in risking losing it!

Well, it fell off again this morning. I was in the bathroom and it just came off. I wasn't doing anything at all. I looked on my account on Cartier's website, and I purchased this on 8/14/22, so I literally haven't had it a full 2 months yet. I don't want to be apart from this bangle so long, but I know I need to send it back to Cartier to fix. Is it fixable? Has anyone sent anything back to Cartier for a repair before, how long does it take?

I would definitely push for an exchange for a new bracelet rather than a repair.

Does anybody remember or know how the screw is constructed? Is there a whole where the latch goes in under the screw and it locks into the hole, or is there a magnet, like someone mentioned earlier in this thread?

No magnet. There is a tongue on one end that inserts into the hole on the other end of the bracelet. Then, when you turn the screw a quarter turn so that the screw motif aligns with the other screw motifs, it should lock it in place. You should feel a bit of resistance or a slight click. You should feel this click/resistance even when you turn the screw without the ends of the bracelet inserted into each other. You can try this when it’s off of your wrist.

I did try it when it was off my wrist, to see how it would feel. I tried unlocking it as well, just to see where the screw would end up. I wasn't sure if that was how the screw looked or if it was broken, but mine does look like that as well. I put it back on and this time I did hear/feel a click, and I've tried tugging on it to see if it would come apart, and it does not. I hate to say it, but I did try to tug it as hard as possible and it still doesn't come apart. I'm gonna give it another go, and if it falls off again, I'm definitely going to send to Cartier to fix. Because at this point, I don't think it's user error. Thanks for the pic, it really helped.

You’re welcome. If it were me, I would request an exchange, or if you could, at least have it checked in a boutique if possible to confirm it’s not faulty. Hate for you to lose it if there really is an issue with it. Good luck!
