that is really disappointing... i agree with you. i'm sorry to hear that. i hope you get it back soon! i still have yet to take mine in for a check-up. it's so hard to bear parting with it when i've had it on daily for like 2 years.

So after she said no exchange, just a repair.. I brought up all my concerns and asked what Cartier has to say for an item needing to be repaired 5 days in to me having it!

She said let me speak to the management team about what we can do. a few hours later she said I was approved for an exchange. I’m very happy! My whole thing was Cartier has now had it longer than I did (2 weeks now, almost 3!) & it just doesn’t sit right with me as they should stand behind the quality of their products, period.

I have the reg love & have had zero issues thus far so I knew something was up. & down the line, I’m sure maybe I’ll need a little tightening / touch up which is understandable as you wear something 24/7 .. but I just couldn’t accept all these hands touching my new item not even a week into my having it.

Why does yours need a check up? It IS hard part with them.. they become a part of you lol!

I am really craving 6 diamond small to go with my reg Love. But just can’t pull the trigger with these reports. I wish it had hinge on one side then just screwed tight on other side like the reg Love.

I finally was able to put on my new wg small love with 6 diamonds as it is our wedding anniversary today.
I ordered through my SA and she assured me she’d check the latch before sending it to me, and it is very secure, and actually a bit difficult to turn. However, the yg small love I got about 3 years ago has a latch that is fairly easy to turn. It did fall off once but honestly I think I forgot to lock it in place. My advice to anyone purchasing is to check the latch, (I’d have the SA do that for fear of scratching it) and choose one that is more firm. It doesn’t seem there should be any variation at this price point, but my new wg bracelet came directly from the warehouse as inventory in boutiques was low/depleted, so it had never been tried on repeatedly in the boutique—that may have been the reason the latch had less give. It’s a great bracelet and I wouldn’t be deterred by the relatively few problems that have been reported on this forum.

I’m the original poster of this thread haha. My small love comes apart occasionally and it can just fall off without me knowing. (3x in the last 2 hours. First time in Greece as I was opening my hotel door, second time I forgot. Third time I was sitting watching tv and it was inside my sweater that had a tight sleeve so somehow it was undone within my sweater and my tight sleeve caught onto it.) I also keep an eye on the position of the screw to check few times a day. So… yeah.

Why don't you just get it exchanged?!

I had it for a year at least before it started happening. And if you see the previous poster a few posts ago - they had trouble initially exchanging it though it was only 5 days old. Eventually she did get it exchanged... but it's not as easy as it seems. Especially not after so long.
