I wonder if the stone cracks, you guys think Cartier would charge for arm and a leg? I have seen one for sale again in rose gold size 18 on Vestiare Collective, but one stone is cracked. It’s probable not a big deal, just wait period to consider. Did anyone repair the cracked stone?
My friend sent her Rose Gold bracelet as one of the gemstones cracked, the orange Garnet, she was asked to pre approved a quote of AUD 750 but that's not the final charge, still waiting.
Check out this reputable seller on Facebook, Natella Livshits. I bought my WG Rainbow from her. She's bases in NY, US. Kindly do diligence check n I'm not in anyway related to her or her business. Goodluck!

Thank you for the info. It’s probably around 1k. I was just wondering how much Cartier charges for the repair. I don’t need the repair for my bracelet (thanks God), but it’s good to know. :flowers:

I have the rainbow ring on my wishlist. Would it be just as delicate/high maintenance as the bracelet? Anything rainbow is so lovely to look at! Appreciate everyone who shares their gorgeous pieces!
I don't think the ring is high maintenance. Of course scratches are unavoidable but I never had problems with the stones so far.
I think it's a beautiful ring and easy to wear. Depending on my mood and outfit, I decide which gemstone to wear on top. Here's a quick pic I found when I was wearing it.

I don’t wear my rainbow ring everyday, maybe 3-4 times a week? I also rotate it to different colors depending on my mood haha. I don’t usually like green but the green garnet really pops against the rose gold! It’s a very fun ring :P I wouldn’t say it’s delicate… but I do take it off when I get home.

Hi all, I recently bought a RG rainbow love which I absolutely LOVE but already I’ve noticed three very small chips in one of the green stones…They’re hardly noticeable and you really have to look to see them but just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? Are these gems prone to damage as they’re softer than diamonds? TIA

I've been wearing mine everyday for almost 9 years now and I never have issues with any of the stones. I remember asking my SA the 1st time I bought it on how durable and secured these little gems are for daily use (do they have any issue of falling off or prone to scratching and cracks) and he said no, he told me each stones are fully secured and the gems are very durable and worry free.

I don’t have this bracelet but there’s lots of reports here of the gems being more delicate and prone to chipping.

The town is much lighter than the city but I don't have a mini city so I can't say on that. The town is not a heavy bag at all though, my giant Pom Pom the other hand... I have to be motivated and well slept to carry that one!

Just a strange FYI for those who love this version of the Cartier Love: I have been obsessed with finding one of these for years in my size and finally located one from a very well reputed luxury jewelry store in London and had it shipped to me in the US. It came with original receipts and all the stuff, and the reputation of the jeweler is outstanding so I was not really worried about authenticity. Anyways, I got it shipped to me in the US and was thrilled as it looked great and was well under US retail. However, the screws kept coming loose every day. The jeweler wanted me to send it back to London as they warranty it and they would send it to Cartier if necessary, but I knew that would take months and have to clear customs two more times. So, I sent it to my SA and he sent it in and said there would be no cost for the screw repair. Turns out, in addition to fixing the screws, they have to replace some of the gemstones as some of them are chipped. I had no idea this could happen and wanted to mention it here. It will cost me about $400 to repair the stones, so still all in under US retail for this much desired and discontinued piece but I may have reconsidered buying if I had known.

This happened to me also, some of the stones are not as durable as diamonds (though the sapphires are pretty durable). It is not too noticeable, but I also had one of my stones replaced while I was having the screws redone anyway. In my case, I believe it was a citrine.

I have a RG Rainbow Love. This one is the second one- as the first was replaced within 6 months because at the time, there was no fix for the screws...anyway- the second bracelet- within 18 months i had to replace 2 stones in mine because of chipping! I think it is just the nature of the Rainbow Love, not the previous owner being rough on the bracelet. I would buy it again and again if I could! I would LOVE a white gold rainbow in a 19 if anyone ever see's one out in the wild!!!!!!!

A few comments regarding chipped stones

Likewise, I've had my rainbow love bracelet in pink gold since August 2016 and it has been worn every day with no issues whatsoever - no chipping or loose stones. It does make me wonder what those that have had issues are doing with their rings/bracelets to cause damage to the stones. Garnets, sapphires and amethysts are relatively hardy, albeit not in the same league as diamonds or other types of gemstones, but should stand up to normal wear pretty well. Mine certainly have, and I no regrets purchasing this bracelet and have never viewed it as delicate in any way.
