Yea makes me wonder as well! The facets for these stone seems deep enough for the stone to sit a little lower. Here's mine after almost 9 years of every day wear.Likewise, I've had my rainbow love bracelet in pink gold since August 2016 and it has been worn every day with no issues whatsoever - no chipping or loose stones. It does make me wonder what those that have had issues are doing with their rings/bracelets to cause damage to the stones. Garnets, sapphires and amethysts are relatively hardy, albeit not in the same league as diamonds or other types of gemstones, but should stand up to normal wear pretty well. Mine certainly have, and I no regrets purchasing this bracelet and have never viewed it as delicate in any way.
This is very helpful, thank you!!A few comments regarding chipped stones
I have a WG rainbow bracelet and it's a 2011 model so far all the gemstones are in tact besides the age & daily wear 24/7. I do have a friend who have a RG & her orange stone had crack, managed to replace for a cost (AUD 750) & took 6 weeks.Hi all, I recently bought a RG rainbow love which I absolutely LOVE but already I’ve noticed three very small chips in one of the green stones…They’re hardly noticeable and you really have to look to see them but just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? Are these gems prone to damage as they’re softer than diamonds? TIA
Thank you 😊 luckily it’s only tiny chips so won’t need fixing…hopefully i dont get any more!! 😅I have a WG rainbow bracelet and it's a 2011 model so far all the gemstones are in tact besides the age & daily wear 24/7. But that is a rare case. I think there is more cases with rings rather than bracelet. Hope you get yours sorted.
Thank you, that’s helpful to know, I will give that a go!A few of the stones on mine were looking a little darker but after removing my bracelet and giving it a good clean with a toothbrush, they look much brighter.
Hopefully that’s what it isI have mine since 2018, no color change at all. You can try to clean it with a soft toothbrush. I guess just some buildup at the back.
Yes, mine's fine too - the colour saturation on both yellow sapphires is still a nice bright yellow. Yours will just be a bit of product build-up trapped at the base of the stone and is being reflected back up through the top of the sapphire, but will look great again once removed.Hi all! Has anyone had any discolouration of their stones? My yellow sapphire has gone a much darker almost brown sort of colour. The other side one is fine, still lovely and bright. I wonder if it could be caused by getting fake-tan under the stone or something?
Thank you! I do wear a lot of fake tan so maybe its that built up.Yes, mine's fine too - the colour saturation on both yellow sapphires is still a nice bright yellow. Yes, you can special order it, but the special order markup is very high, it will be almost double the normal resale price. If you ask your SA, they can do it for you. My last SO (for a different item) was in the Spring and the production time was 10 months + August and about 150% of equivalent retail price.Forgive me if this question is not allowed. Asking here first before I bother my SA.
Is it possible to special order a rainbow love bracelet? Or am I out of luck and have to stalk the secondhand market?
