Cartier price increase thread *please include your location*

As long I have not seen it with my own eyes or heard it with my own ears from a SA I trust and who has been right in the past I consider it as a rumor. As being a scientist I am more sceptical I fear.
I’m there with you. People often misunderstand things. There are other times where people just want to create a frenzy. I had been seeing rumors about a goyard increase. I called the boutique myself to confirm. Interestingly there was both an increase and a decrease.
People are just trying to help. Lets assume best intentions (and keep the skepticism as well) but the attitude is a little negative for a thread that is about helping each other save money. I am grateful to everyone posting here 
because it was one person who said they heard about an increase vs everyone else who asked their SA and said they haven’t heard of it. I could be wrong here and thankfully not looking to make any high ticket purchases at the moment either way, but until more posters also receive confirmation, it is in fact “just a rumor”.

My 3rd SA I have built a good relationship and bond with and who I trust is a very trustworthy SA. He has been with Cartier for awhile and when I say awhile more than 15 years! My last 2 SA from Cartier either retired or left the business. The comments and replies I read here are very negative and not pleasant especially the most recent ones! Whether you believe me or not that is fine. IDC but I am not making a rumor up as I trust my SA from Cartier who I have a relationship for over 5 years!People are just trying to help. It's funny because they were so open with the last price increase. Let's not panic or blame our panic on those who so intended to bring us useful info. I thank everyone for their research.
My next purchase won't be big (a relative term) from Cartier so the difference may just be the price of dinner at a fancy restaurant (which I will forgo). Asprey just had 2 random price increases in quick succession and I don't know if my poor heart can deal with another sticker-shock

To be clear, this wasn’t personal, nor was I suggesting that you’re spreading info you don’t believe to be truthful. I just personally wouldn’t go out panic buying based on one person’s claim.

I heard this too from my SA in San Francisco.
Yes, I am panicking quite a bit as the increase of my item might well be 5-10k USD / EUR 
On the other hand I am strongly looking forward to a substancial say 10 % increase as it helps my Richemont stock which fell off a cliff the last 2 days.
To add to our rumors here: One of my European SAs called three of her supervisors and no increase on the horizon there. This was early this week. SAs in Vegas and CA also unaware as of last week. We just need to be prepared. I expect that we will know a few days beforehand.
