Sets it off everytime with my stack. Got used to it
See above, forgot to quote, sorry! My 3 pieces sets it off every time, as well. I'm just used to getting wanded. No biggy. I just plan accordingly when arriving at the airport.
It may depend on how how the machine's sensitivity is set on the machine you are going through. I know some people who have set it off at some airports, and not set it off at others.Pardon my ignorance.
What makes the trigger goes off? The sheer amount of gold/metal of the Love bracelet? I used to travel with very thin bracelet/rings and it didn’t beep.
I’m travelling to LA end year; I might leave the Love at home if it’s gonna cause issue.
Can I ask what you meant by “Pre check”?I fly nearly every week and it has triggered the detector more than 50% of the time and I have resigned myself to this fate. I'm glad to have pre-check and clear so it isn't as bad as it could be.

Thanks Swanky -- It must be my home airport and the one I go to the most -- I'm used to it now and realize that my stuff can go through the pre-check line (no opening up bags and taking out toiletries) but I'm doomed to the pat down/grope for the Love of Cartier on a weekly basis.TSA pre check, in the States if you have this you typically have shorter security lines and don’t have to take off your shoes.
I just had a whirlwind trip to/from Vegas and my pieces didn’t trigger the sensor at either airport, which is my typical experience.
Made it through HNL yesterday and SFO today without triggering it -- DEN and PHX and SEA last week - triggered. I wish I went to more exotic places - but pretty boring right now.I fly nearly every week and it has triggered the detector more than 50% of the time and I have resigned myself to this fate.
