Thank you so much @Serpenti_Love @pinkdewy @Maria333 @Moxisox @m-s-m-d for all your really helpful insights and advice!! I was convinced by the Youtube reviews at first that talked about the d'amour necklace flipping and turning (especially the smaller sizes), but your reviews here have been extremely helpful. After trying in store again with my own extender, testing out different lengths and just moving around to see how the necklace moves on my neck, I felt that it didn't turn beyond 20 degrees to the left or right, and the diamond would flip yes but flip right back again, so that's all fine with me. The diamond definitely rides up the neck about 2cm or so though, no matter what length the full necklace is, and that's normally where the diamond will settle on the neck for most of the time. Something I took note of. Overall I was happy with the wear of the necklace despite the small flippings, so I happily bought the large d'amour necklace! :hbeat: I will of course still observe how it wears over time!
Congrats on your purchase! The d’amour is such a gorgeous pop of light on the neck.

Hey @BlackGrayRed! I found this YouTube video comparing the 2 necklaces below. Cartier’s website does indicate the carat (ie large is 0.18). If I remember correctly, my SA said they don’t provide the specs on the d’amour (since they are small and no cert is provided) but generally as a standard, their minimum is a D color and VS1/2 inclusion.

I’d recommend the d’amour :graucho:

I have seen this video. It’s super helpful and informative!

Please pardon if this has been asked already.

Does anyone know how the diamonds compare (Cartier vs. Tiffany) in these two styles?

I know they’re not really big diamonds, but do both brands provide the specs (4 Cs) for these two necklaces? Or does anyone know the general specs for the diamonds they use for either line?

I think I prefer the Cartier D’Amour (haven’t decided which size) over the Tiffany DBTY. But aside from the carat info, I don’t know the rest of the specs.

Thank you!
I can’t speak for Tiffany but Cartier does not provide a cert for this necklace. The size is listed but color/clarity is “high” as I was told. The C de Cartier and 1895 necklace comes with a GIA cert

Awwww:hugs:you are so sweet. I'm happy that our input help ‘enable’ hahaha.
I've started wearing my d’amour at the shortest setting (since I'm layering with the bead chain) and it’ll try to flip on occasion but it just falls back into place. As for it turning around - it will happen with any necklace. I haven't had mine turn much throughout the day or even when I wake up in the morning.... Maybe I just don't move around much?

Again, very happy for you! Enjoy and we look forward to see more pics!

Haha I’m also starting to think that my necklace doesn’t move because I don’t move around much. I have a stiff neck so the diamond stays in the same spot throughout the day

Congrats with your purchase!! It's a nice feeling to cross something off your wishlist right before the price increase

I have the large d’amour. It does flip a little so I extended it by about 1inch? And then I found it too long for my preference.
The new length is about the same as vintage alhambra pendant. But no more flippinh after the extension.
It does turn the opposite way after a shower but not much during the day.
I'm guessing the flipping likely is caused by the chain moving upwards towards to back of the neck.
Could you tell me how long did you have to wait for Cartier to extend your necklace please?
