Another member, @prepster asked for similar advise few years ago breaking it down to different categories/purpose of the bag(s). You might enjoy reading this thread. This is making me think about how to plan my collection. I need some advice.
I work but I cannot carry H to work. So I am set on the work bag front (all totes). I have young kids, my life is reasonably casual and I live in a four season climate. My style is clean lines and solid colours (black, navy, white and limited amounts of other cool colours and jewel tones). I prefer a cross body or a hand carry I can make crossbody.
I have Evie’s in black and navy. Next up on my list is a etain pico with GHW and a k28 sellier in noir (I want phw but SA has suggested I be flexible on hardware). I am trying to figure out what the rest of the “purse goals” are because I feel like when you see what you want at H - which can take years - you should go for it so having a loose plan is good for a planner like me.
I think I should add a warm neutral like bareina or gold and maybe a lighter colour (like Beton) or a pop of colour (like RC or a midtown blue). I also like colour neutrals like raisin. I am lost on what styles are best to add though I suspect with bareina there is not too much choice. I do not think I want another Evie and I do not need a clutch. Not a fan of the lindy. I like the GP and Birkin but have a lot of large totes. I like pico, Kelly, Constance, jypsiere and Roulis. What would you ladies suggest in terms of styles and colours for a capsule collection? I am obviously not going to buy it all at once but having a plan helps me make be able to make a wish list or buy when the opportunity arises without hemming and hawing.
It’s a great list but she and I have different needs. There’s a lot of large totes or hand carried bags on her list which are beautiful but not at all what I need. It’s helpful to rule things out though. Thank you again for pointing it out.
Sure. Perhaps you might want to think about the purpose for bags that you're looking to add so others can have a better idea of what bag styles they can possibly suggest. It’s a great list but she and I have different needs. It’s for casual use in two seasons: spring/summer and fall/winter (with snow) when I need something more formal than an evie. It can be smaller than an evie 29 but needs to be large enough to hold two epi pens, a wallet, keys and a lip balm. I prefer if it can be worn crossbody (or if it’s handheld only then can be carried on the forearm and be quite light) and the winter bag can’t be open top. I already own several totes so I am covered on the large bag front. Thank you!Sure. A beton Roulis is my maybe list. I am glad you are loving it so much!!! It sounds awesome. This sounds like you need a Roulis 23!!! Functional, under the radar, holds just enough, arm carry or shoulder carry, check check check check! I just got one in Beton and am head over heels. Evercolor is a great scratch-resistant leather also!

+1 on the Halzan - 4 bags in 1, light, versatile, multifunctional and beautiful (plus it might be available in Barenia)How about a Halzan?
Something red... navy is my favorite color and blue dominates my wardrobe...just received my SO in Rouge Casaque and it is the perfect pop of color. I love jypsiere 28 and I find it an easy bag to carry and of course a Kelly. Neutrals are great but I have found this RC to really coordinate with majority of my wardrobe... I vote RC!!! Jypsiere or KellyThis is making me think about how to plan my collection. I need some advice.
