Mine is made in US and it’s perfect. It’s not where the piece is made, but who is actually putting the piece together. 
I am back with a fun 5-year update. I posted in this thread about 5 years ago when I first received my pouch and was concerned about the quality and stitching.
The dry feel of the canvas improved a bit (probably due to my daily handling, body oils and hand cream lol) but it still looks and feels dry compared to some of my other canvas bags. Some wear and tear along the edges near the zipper, and on the hardware, but this pouch has been well loved and been on many adventures with me!
Given the current price of this pouch I would say it’s too expensive and not worth it anymore.
