Can someone recommend an online authentication service

I'm having such a hard time getting a clear picture of the serial number for Zeko. Does anyone have any tips? :'(
I know this was a few weeks ago but I was recommended to use a mirror, means you can take the photo from closer to the mouth of the bag so works much better! Still difficult to get a clear, well lit photo, but easier than shoving the phone into the depths of the bag

An even later reply, but maybe it will help someone. Amazingly, the leather interior is not fixed to the base of the bag, so you can pinch the bottom and turn the lining inside out without any damage and bring the serial number portion up to the camera.

Extremely delayed final update! Sorry about not being active but there was a lot going on in my life, anyways the skirt arrived and after careful inspection it became obvious it has been the victim of a very poorly done alteration, which in a strange way gave me a sigh of relief hahaha, but just to be 100% sure I had it authenticated by RealAuthentication, who certified it as authentic, so I took it to competent seamstress to get the labels removed and re-attached correctly! It's a beautiful skirt and I am so happy with it! and I also get the one I bought as backup which is gorgeous too! Thank you so much @nicole0612 for all your time and support, helped tons! God Bless you!

Just wanted to add my experiences here for anyone who may find this thread in the future.

Zeko is my go-to for Chanel authentication. She is so lovely to work with for starters but what I appreciate most is how meticulous and thorough she is. She won't confirm authenticity unless she is 100% sure and she will continue asking for more photos until she has exactly what she needs. She also sends examples so that you know exactly which angle/lighting/etc. She's very easy to reach over email or WhatsApp, and I find it really convenient that I can add everything to a Google Drive folder and share the link. I've used her to authenticate 4 pieces so far and she always responds within 24 hours, even on the weekends. I feel her pricing is very fair because you also get a certificate. Also when I was inquiring about bag spa, leather surgeons told me that they consider Zeko to be quite reliable.

I've also used Authenticate4U and Lollipuff to get extra authentications on some of my items. I appreciate the quick turnaround with Lollipuff (I recieved an answer within a couple hours both times) however this also makes me think they aren't as thorough as Zeko. Authenticate4U never responded to my email, however they responded very quickly to my Facebook message, so I'd recommend contacting them that way. I got an answer within 48 hours (which I think was partially due to the timezone difference as I'm in Vancouver, Canada). I have been happy with all three services but I would trust Zeko's determination over anyone else's.

If Zeko were to say something is a fake, for me that's enough: it's fake.

If another service said fake, while Zeko said authentic, I'm not sure what I'd do as a Canadian, but if I were in the US, I'd send it to leather surgeons for spa service as they do free authentication since they only work on real bags. For me, Zeko + leather surgeons would erase any doubt in my mind.

Hopefully this helps!

I agree with all of this.

I also wanted to mention that I believe Zeko to be a bit more of an authority on Chanel than Authenticate4U. I've used both and while they were both excellent at authenticating my pre-serial bag, Zeko gave me a more accurate opinion as to the age of it than A4U.

I have used them both. Zeko is my go-to authenticatior.:tup::tup::tup::tup:
Authenticate4U takes forever to get a response. More than a week…….:wtf:
Authenticate4U seems to response pretty quickly via Facebook Messenger. I've not used any services, but based on what I've seen and heard, I would use Zeko (follow her on Instagram...she posts informative examples of real/fake indicators on Chanel bags every week)

A4U erroneously judged my vintage Hermès Kelly to be a fake. I also had it authenticated by Bababebi who was confident it was authentic immediately following this, and then sent it to Hermès for spa to make extra sure and it came back with only compliments of the condition for a bag of its age. A4U wouldn't even give me a refund so I'd definitely never use them again.

how much does Bababebi charge for a bag authentication? does Hermes do spa treatment although it is a 2ndhand bag?

I don't remember, this was years ago but it wasn't too crazy. Yes it was no problem for Hermès to do it, and the bag is from 1953 so it would be pretty obvious I wasn't the first owner!

The authenticators' results are conflicting as they are merely a software that rely on past photographs. But Chanel quality is not consistent as we all know. Therefore I do not trust the authenticators at all. Chanel do not use such authenticators too.

Actually Chanel already put in place water marks to identify the real from the fakes through its authentication card and hologram stickers. Few people know this.
