I've always loved Cameron Diaz. In fact I saw her one time at an airport about 10 years ago. She was STUNNING. Just STUNNING.

But ever since she married Benji, she's like aged so much! I don't understand why, I mean they haven't been married that long and Diaz isn't old. But lately, she looks so fatigued and she's always wearing weird baggy clothes. I understand wanting to be comfortable, but now it's like baggy clothes is her uniform! She's got a beautiful figure, why hide it all the time???
she more and more dresses like Nicole Richie

Maybe she's doing fertility treatments and they make her gain weight (the baggy clothes), and they also might make her sick (looking worn out).

Why did you want that?

And this would be fair to her or any other person, how? I think she had made peace with being single and childless and would have gone on with her life, except she met someone extra special. I would never want to deny someone days, months, years of happiness as a couple because they were once happily single. Some people marry late in life. Humans are social creatures. We survive easier, for the most part, as part of a couple, or as part of a tribe. I think it is part of how we evolved to be the humans that exist today.

My comment wasn't that deep or all that serious nor would it be denying her of happiness if she stuck to being anti marriage. Are you saying her and Benji could only be happy if they were married? Being anti marriage doesn't=being single and alone. People who don't want to get married or have children are often looked at as having something wrong with them, selfish and miserable. Cameron fought this perception until recently. Now it kinda just validates people's "you just haven't found the right one" mentality.

I agree with everything you've said. But I also think that women who are single, or don't have children, whether by choice or circumstance, are stigmatized in society. There is so much pressure on them, so there is a natural desire to want to see happy, successful single and/or childless women to erode the stigma and relieve the pressure to couple or have babies. These women want their tribe too, and it can be disappointing to see a prominent and happy/successful member of their tribe leave. I wish we were more accepting of single and childless women and didn't see them as lacking something.

I agree she all of a sudden looks older than her years.

I understood what you meant and agree. She was the epitome of the happy single girl who didn't succumb to years of her family/friends telling her to get married and have kids.

Here is an article where she says she is open to both marriage and kids: http://www.eonline.com/news/604140/...y-i-ve-never-said-never-to-anything-watch-now
But she was also open to not getting married or never having kids. I think she has a healthy attitude of not expecting everybody's life to turn out exactly the same. But I don't see any crime in her finding love (I don't see the issue of marriage as a big deal, you can be just as committed to someone without a legal document), and changing her direction in whatever way she chooses.

I don't think we should hold anyone else as examples for how we can live a happy life, we should make our own choices. Plus we should be allowed to feel one way and then later change our minds. It is the whole issue of choice that should be the freedom we seek, not marriage or being single, children or not. Just my opinion, of course.
