Here's my Cambridge Satchel in Green (with a tortoise key chain my student gave to me.) :) Love this bag to death!

Luv it! What size is yours? Mine is the 15" and I find it a little too big but I still adore it. I think my favorite size is 13 in Cambridge/Zatchels and the 12.5 in Bohemia. I'm still waiting on my neon pink and planning on getting the neon yellow and orange. Got the burnt orange and its real cute too. Will post pics another day.

Im in the US (New York state) and want to possibly order one....How does the customs and taxes stuff work? Do I get billed by the post office or something? Who do I call to find out how much it will be?

As far as the bags go, are they good quality? If im ordering from the US I dont want to have to try to return the thing:p I see that the underside of the straps isnt the same color as the top, do they seem "cheap" and thin or are the straps nice quality as well?

Thanks in advance!

I purposely bought three different brands to compare. To me all three are good quality but I would rate them as follows from top quality to bottom - 1. Zatchels, 2. Cambridge, 3. Bohemia. The leather on the zatchels was the thickest on a 13" and the Cambridge was slightly thinner for a 15". I was not impressed with the imprint of the Cambridge as it was not very deeply imprinted (maybe thats whey they resold it). I've noticed that alot of the sale satchels on the Cambridge site are all defective so if this person would of returned it to them it probably would have gone one the sale list. The Bohemia is very sturdy and thick but the strap is a little thinner and the underside of the leather is not dyed but that doesn't bother me, just something I noticed. The Cambridge is dyed and the Zatchels isn't as least with the white one. Regardless, they are all great and I luv them all to pieces. I have received two packages so far from Bohemia via Royal registered mail and customs has not charged me any tax. My stuff goes through the JFK usps hub and I've had no issues. Has take around 5-7 days.

Here is my burnt orange batchel from Bohemia

Btw, as far as returning one of these I think the easiest would be to try and resell on Ebay. I've seen plenty of them for sale both new and pre-owned. I bought my Cambridge pre-owned but in mint condition on Ebay and I am very happy with it.

Mine is the 15" and just a perfect size for my daily things. It also teaches me to edit what I put in there. I use pouches to keep things organized.

My Cambridge Satchel finally arrived this morning! Exactly 4 weeks from the day of ordering.

It's the 11" in black, with silver embossing :smile1: I love it! Now I wanna order a purple one, LOL!

I loved the color of my fluor pink satchel, but had to return it because the closure was not very practical for me. I'm glad everyone on this thread is loving theirs. I was a little sad to let mine go today.

Too bad cause the pink is gorgeous..I've seen others make the same bag but with the magnetic snaps..not the same but its an option for those who don't like to undo the buckles..I just leave them semi open...I too had to return my first fluro satchel but because it turned out not to be leather...I purchased this 14" from Bohemia and I luv it!

I like the slouchier messengers in natural brown leather, but this is an interesting yellow one:

They used to have a Cambridge-esque model in yellow too, but it's out of stock now.

Personally I think bright colors work as a highlight no matter what the trend is as long as you don't over do it with the rest of the outfit. But I hope this trend stays for a while, as I love the satchels and girly bags aren't my thing!

Exactly! I always wear black outfits and use only one stand-out item at a time. Shoes or a bag or a scarf, or an item of jewelry. My figure isn't the best any more at age 60, so the black backdrop is good as far as I'm concerned - coupled with a great haircut (a must-have), good grooming and smelling fresh. Couldn't do without manicures and pedicures.

I'd like to hear from those who own one how easy is this bag to carry? I know the leather is really stiff but it is still comfortable to carry when you're out and about? The pics are great, BTW--they really help us understand the different sizes!
