Ok well I ordered the black one 5 minutes ago. I decided to stop over thinking it and just click purchase, haha! I chose to have my initials embossed in silver to match the hardware. I felt it may look weird if the initials were gold while the hardware is silver.

Anyway, I'll post photos in like 5 weeks or whenever I receive it. Can't wait

I've been wanting a neon bag and I was eyeing the Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC but I think its too small and not worth $195.

Congrats ladies, I hope you love your satchels! I'm obsessed with mine and have been wearing it (13" neon yellow) all week long. I've seen several ads portraying the neon color trend.

Also I got caught in the rain tonight with mine and the water wiped right off Gorgeous and durable. What more can we ask for

I really want to order an 11" in either Red or Black, or maybe even the Navy. I want to have my initials embossed on it as well. However, I have never seen these bags in person and one of the stores that the website says they sell them at had none at all. I was hoping to check it out before ordering online. There are only 2 stores in Los Angeles that were even on the store list! I'm just kind of worried about ordering it online and then having my initials on the bag, because then for sure I couldn't sell if I wound up not liking it.

Ahh, I dunno!!! Seems like everyone loves them though, right? Is the red a bright orangey red in person, or is it a deeper red with blue undertones? I prefer when it's brighter...

Should I just go for it? I'd like to buy one for myself since my birthday is coming up next month I probably wouldn't even receive it till like April though, grr!

The red ones are apple red. I have a backpack batchel in that apple red color.

For those of you that have the satchel, do you find it hard to get in and out of the bag since it's a buckle closure?

You don't have to wait so long, depending where you buy it from, I got mine from http://www.retrosatchels.com and it just took a couple of weeks, and they hand make them to order!

Got the 13-inch distressed brown with extra embossing. From order date to signing for the FedEx package here in Sydney, it only took 9 days. Wow.

Only thing is, reading up about these bags, I anticipated they're gonna be stiff. I got the distressed leather thinking maybe the leather will finally be softer compared to the classics... Nope. Still pretty stiff and I'm not used to it. Will just have to break it in and make it my bang-around bag.

Cool satchel though.

Hey I've read through most of this, and can't seem to find anyone who posted first hand experience with whether or not the satchel would soften? If anybody has any thoughts on it I would appreciate it! I love the neon yellow, but don't want a super stiff bag, thanks!

I've been wearing my yellow one for about two weeks now and it's still stiff as a board. This leather doesn't seem like the type to soften over time.

Got mine a 12.5 Leather Satchel Co. Pillarbox RED =) ...I won it from an online seller as a Valentine give away to their clients.. i'm a big bag lover & this came as big change for me.. but it's good use going to church or for short errands to the mall .. what's even better i got it for free ... i'm ithinking of getting the metallic gold one .. looks lovely

My batchel (backpack satchel) is still stiff and I've taken it to work every day since I received it back in November. I want it to stay stiff as it needs to be able to remain standing upright and not falling over.
