I thought I’d post my current collection but I expect to add more as I find other colors and leathers. It’s been useful to me to see how the different leathers wear over time and how the different types of leathers take color.
OMG. Best post. Ever!! Thank you, @DoggieBags!

I’m not sure if there is a Swift design in current circulation, but a couple of the special releases from the men’s collection have been swift - the robot stamped design and the sailor tattoo I believe.

Porc is totally amazing. It’s my absolute favourite. The patina process is much more subtle than Barenia but has given a real depth and sheen to the Calvi the more I use it, especially around the edges where I grip it.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about pork, a leather I don’t yet have in my collection. Sounds like a leather I would like!

Thanks! And yup I’m trying to track down an ostrich and a Porc. Didn’t know they still make any in Swift but will search for an example of that too. I think the Porc will be the hardest to find. I missed them when they made a few Calvis in Porc last year. I’ve asked my SA to keep an eye out for one for me. She’s really getting into helping me build up my Calvi collection lol. I know I can find a Porc calvi from a reseller but would prefer not to go that route right now.

If you ever make a Paris trip, I managed to get a porc Calvi & bastia from my SA there! I think theyd have better chance... either the 3 or maybe even Monaco? I know they have a lot of exotic leather items :) fingers crossed for your search!!

Wow, what a collection of Calvis!

Is Bleu Nuit darker than Bleu Indigo? Bleu Nuit looks almost black and Bleu Indigo looks navy. Am I thinking along the right lines with these two colors?

Yes but they are very close in color. I can try to take a pic in sunshine tomorrow and see if that makes a difference. But I think difference in how the 2 colors photograph is also partially due to difference in leathers. The Bleu nuit is in Evercolor which looks more Matte and darker than the same color in Epsom.

That would be great. I know that the colors can appear differently on different leathers.

I’m thinking about getting a Citizen Twill card case. I prefer blues. The only blue ones available on Hermes.com are Swift calfskin in Navy/Bleu Nuit/Bleu Zanzibar and Bleu Indigo/Céleste/Poppy. I think the first part of the sequence is the color of the leather...?

Hmm... I have both blue indigo and blue nuit... My blue indigo is much darker than blue nuit. Blue indigo is blue black, while nuit reads as navy.

I should add that my blue nuit is clemence not epsom or evercolor though. In most leathers, nuit is lighter than indigo. It could be the difference in how ever color takes the dye or how it photographed.

Thank you for your feedback. How does Navy compare to these colors? I believe Navy is the darkest of all the blues.
To me Navy is lighter than both Bleu Nuit and Bleu Indigo. Indigo is almost black and can look black in low light. Bleu Nuit is an extremely dark blue but you’d only see it as black in real darkness.
Navy is...navy blue. A dark navy, but it does not look black to me at all.

Good to know. Your description of navy is depicted in the picture of this Citizen Twill card holder in Navy/Bleu Nuit/Bleu Zanzibar:

I may pull the trigger

Thank you for posting this very useful colour guide....calvis (and Bastia ) are my favourite way to introduce colour into my bag interiors. Here is a selection from a recent visit in the boutique. The pink is rose Sakura in chèvre but the one that looks like a soft grey blue is the new blue braume. The other blue is bleu zephyr.
