Looks like black to me. That last set of numbers hasn't been decoded yet. If you know a PFer with a GSH black PT from '08, you can ask them for their last set of numbers to see if yours matches. That is, if you look at a GSH black PT from '07, the last set of numbers will be different -- it changes every year so there's no "key" for it like some other tag numbers.

hi, i just bought a red giant city bag. my 1st. the paper tag numbers say "2007 1 173082 D941G 1262". i am a little concerned because the inside tag is leather and not metal. if you flip the leather tag, the numbers
"173082.2000 47" and "made in italy"directly below that. i bought this from Xpress Designers. Anyone care to advice me? thanks, my

help!! i just bought a red giant hardware city balenciaga bag and the paper tag reads --- 2007 1 173082D941G 1262. Anyone who has one, please see if it correlates to yours. the web store"Xpress Designers" swears that their bags are genuine. Also, I have a leather tag(not metal) and no black stitching over the tag like some pics. Is there always black stitching on genuine Bal bags? Thanks

Hi there:

I can help a bit I think.....First your new bag is a city with giant hardware so it would just have a leather tag not a metal one.
Your bag is from the year 2007 (duh)lol, the 1 is the season so pre spring, the 173082 is supposed to identify it as the "City" with giant hardware, but my city with giant hardware is number 173084 hummm? the D941G is id related to the hardware that is on the bag, so I am guessing yours is giant hardware gold colored(please let me know if this color is correct). My id number is D941N and I have the Giant silver hardware...N for silver
The 1262 I am guessing is maybe a batch number, maybe for the leather, but not 100% sure on that.

Correct me please any one if my info is incorrect

173082 is a code for part time...because i have a part time and the serial code is 173082 and it's a leather tag

One thing I can tell from your tag is that it is made of lamb (agneau. My tag says chevre...which stands for goat.

I couldn't find same code in sahara in Japanese on-line shop.
I found ”9678” for sahara.... which is correct?

My turn to share;

on the silver tag - Balenciaga . Paris N` 3086 S 115748
& on the under side of this tag 115748 . 2123

this bag is amazingly dark dark dark black. I picked him out of 3 other black bags(that had just made their debut onto the floor, timing is everything)) and it was so noticible of a difference that this one stood out by a mile just waiting for me to nab him:yahoo:
i bought these in may and june/08

i would also like to mention that on the second one (the black city with RH) I am not sure what kind of regular hardware this is....either raised brass or raised pewter...the color is a led color like a pencil, and it is trying to match the bags color and in this case black

Also something interesting I found to be at least, even though both my babies are City's they both have different looking mirrors. On the Giant City bag there is an extra little flap on the back. My R/H City's mirror is just plain flat leather.
Also I found there to be an extra piece of leather on the Giant City's inside zippered pocket at the top when it is unzipped, and the R/H City does not have this.I am wondering if this is normal and can someone chime in who can give some advise. Maybe these features got changed in the 2008 season 3 F/W bags or maybe this is just a couple more differences between The Giant Hardware bags and the Regular Hardware bags. Either way can some one knowledgeable about this, please let me know.
