The saleslady at the store wasn't able to give me the exact color name of bags that I saw from there store. I have copied down the tag code, would it be possible to tell the color from it? Can anyone help? Thanks a lot!!

Hi there,

Has anyone bought a 2008 first bag which has the serial numbers 103208.1669 on the back of the leather tag as opposed to the usual 103208.213048? A Sky blue I am looking at has these numbers on it. I know in the past 1669 has been used on works.

I'm not sure of the configurations that are okay, but I am certain that some Firsts have
1669 as all or part of the style number. There was a discussion about this months ago on the AT thread, and the consensus was that 1669 is sometimes used on Firsts. HTH!

That second number tends to change a bit. Some 06 Firsts didn't even have the 103208. As long as you had your First authenticated, it should be fine.

2009 = year
219718 = the model named " Square "
173080 = the model named " Giant Work "
D94JT = type " arena classic " and material " agneau -> lamb skin "
D94JN = type " arena giant silver " and meterial " agneau -> lamb skin "
77? is mistake, should be 2 possibility
1. 2077 = color Charbon/T.Moro
2. 2577 = color Praline/Craie
1209? another mistake, should be
1202 = color Antracite

There have been a lot of threads about deceiphering a Bal tag. The first four digits are the year, the "1" designates spring/summer (fall/winter is "3"). The D94 numbers refer to the hardware and the leather type. I'm not sure if anyone has figured out the last numbers.

Stumbled across this thread and think it's fascinating. I will post my Noix for now but will search in my other bags at home for more codes.

Noix GGH Work

479 Noix?

Authenticators can confirm, but I believe there were no color codes in 2006 and were not included in the paper tag for any year. (At some point, the codes were added to the back of the inner tag).

Fall/Winter colors from that year can be found in the reference library here:

Unfortunately, most pics for that season are missing in the color charts (also in reference library), but I was able to find on another site (who took them from here) and just updated with the tpf logo lol.

You're right, no color codes until they started appearing in 09, I believe?
@atlantis1982 and @vesna put in a lot of work and added the missing color charts and codes to both libraries a while ago (both on page 2). :tup:
