I have noticed this trend for some time now. Clothing, even a wooden tray I ordered shipped in envelopes made of thin plastic or paper. I would let the seller know that customers would prefer packaging that is less likely to be damaged upon delivery.

after I wash and iron it and make sure there aren't any flaws, I'll accept it and send her a message about the packaging
thanks

it actually looks so pretty after washing and ironing I probably won't say anything about the shipping....amazing that she didn't mind sending it all wrinkled but it takes all kinds. and she was willing to negotiate. there was another shirt of the same brand, different color I made an offer on. she immediately declined. admittedly it was a low offer but I knew it had been on there for a year. so if she wants to sit on it, ok. the one I got is actually a better color for me.

I usually ignore offers that are way below my asking. I once had a chanel bag that got a lot of odd offers even though I clearly stated that my price was firm. I don’t think it’s personal.

Poshmark authentication is NOT reliable. They use a third party authentication using photos and if you try to dispute, they will not refund you or allow you to return the item unless a third party Authenticator states it’s not authentic. I purchased a goyard which clearly was a knockoff, the stamp and the color of the hardware were not correct, but I still couldn’t dispute it nor get refunded. Do NOT trust Poshmark for authentication and good luck disputing anything.

Are you an authenticator? PM would ask a proof from a trusted Authentication service to start a conversation.

So sorry to hear about your problem! Did they tell you who the third party authenticator was? Does that outsourced company have a website? Maybe helpful to check on past problems with the same outsourced authenticator.

today for the third or fourth time, I got something from Posh in an envelope. is that what you're supposed to do with clothing? if I sold something and shipped in medium box, would that be wrong?

You can ship it however you like, nothing wrong with a medium box. I get so much clothing shipped to me in envelopes from department stores etc, even high value items, that I don't find it unusual that you are getting clothing in envelopes.

Agree - all the clothing I've ordered from various retailers (even sneakers!) has been shipped in those tyvek envelopes. I can't recall any clothing I've gotten in a box for a long time now. I wouldn't expect a posh seller to package any better than a retailer.
