*BUYING* on Poshmark

I bought a pair of used boots on Poshmark. Before buying, I asked the seller how tall the heel was. She replied “a little over one inch.” It was hard to tell from the angle of the photos how tall the heel was. I thought it maybe looked taller than that, but she said it was a little over an inch, so I believed her.

I bought the boots and received them today. The heels are three inches tall. I’m someone who just doesn’t wear very tall heels, and I think the difference between a one-inch heel and a three-inch heel is a LOT. I don’t know that I can or will ever wear them.

Now, they were only $11 plus postage, but still. Do I have any recourse with Poshmark for item not as described? The heel height wasn’t in her description, she only said “a little over an inch” in response to my question. Frankly, I don’t know how anyone would not know the difference between one inch and three inches. Would I be sending the boots back if Poshmark decides not as described? I’ve never had this situation before. Thanks.

Reach out to the seller & tell her that the heel height is not as described.
Simply ask How can you work together to resolve this amicably
Poshmark should be able to see the response to your question & handle this dispute
& if you don't get the option to return, you will have to consider other options..

That’s quite inexpensive, you probably can’t get that price for good used condition from goodwill, and not worth the effect to return or argue etc, look, $15 minimum wage, is the time spent on worth of $15? haha.
I’d keep them, higher heels are great for going parties, in photo taking etc

On the other hand, this post made me realize selling is tough, may not worth selling especially on very inexpensive stuff, sellers probably better off donating or throw away inexpensive stuff. $11 sale that seller may only get $8 in hand? That’s if not get returned

I just had a similar experience. bought a bag for a low price. when I first looked at it, it was towards evening and I thought I didn't have adequate light to see the color. this morning I realized it's very faded. I went back and looked at the pictures and the bag looks totally different - much brighter. the color was described as dark purple. I was hoping it wouldn't be too bright. No worries there. It is now more of a brown or eggplant color. It took be a while but eventually I looked under the flap and saw the original color.
but this is a bag that originally sold for hundreds and I got for around $20. I think maybe the color it has turned to is more to my liking than the original color. But I am curious - did she use old pictures? probably no need to bother her since she got so little for it.

It has been awhile since I asked a question in Purseforum, so I apologize if I am not complying with the rules. However, I would like know if it is generally safe to buy off Poshmark? I have my eye on a Gucci Marmont. Poshmark says "Free Authentication" but I don't how accurate their authentication team is. Can someone share their experience with Poshmark?

I've had good experience on Posh but haven't used the authentication...the bags I've bought have pretty much been $200 or less
