I never did say that someone SHOULD buy from PS that only do wire transfer. I said it is perfectly common for a PS to only accept wire transfer. Everyone should decide for themselves what they are comfortable with. Using PayPal is the safest and will protect you if something goes astray. Just want to be clear on that.

by the way, I have reached out to this personal shopper on Instagram. I intend to buy something and will let you know how it goes. So we know, for real.

I never said that you said someone should buy from PS that only do wire transfer either....but I do disagree that it is common for a PS to only accept wire transfer, especially when they are new and just starting out. Unless someone wants to take a big risk, they shouldn't wire a large amount of money to someone who isn't yet reputable. If you contact your bank, they will tell you that themselves.

Also, is it going to be a $6,000 item? There are personal shoppers that don't scam for every single purchase, or only for the big ticket items. Also, you are posting that you will be using this one purchase as a means to decide if they are trustworthy or not. It's like doing a drug trial and telling the person they are or are not receiving a placebo.

Luxeality, I never said that your client reviews ARE fake. I never accused you of anything at all. I was very careful with my words not to positively accuse you of something I didn't have absolute proof of. I said I had suspicions they may be fake, and that it was strange you posted them within 45 minutes and then sent them to me to try to build my confidence in sending you a wire transfer payment of $6,000. My suspicions are not groundless at all. I explained why I feel the way I feel. The timeline was strange, and it struck me as fishy. Someone can say they have suspicions that someone punched someone...it doesn't mean they are accusing them of doing it. There is a big difference. I did not accuse you of anything and for what is hopefully the last time, I have no issues with you not using PayPal. I had an issue with you insisting on a form of payment that would leave me with no buyer protection at all.

I think posting a review after buying an item from a PS is better for this community than writing one having not made a purchase at all. I think the things noted as red flags are totally fine and its always always best to only work with people you trust. I do find it a little unfair to put a PS on blast here having not even worked with them.

I have not decided on the item yet. I also have other due diligence things I do before buying from a PS for the first time. So we’ll see

I agree that posting a review after buying an item from them would've been better, but I didn't feel comfortable risking that much money. However I did still feel shaken by my experience, I was looking forward to the item and had talked to the PS for days. I don't feel it is unfair for me to describe what happened. Potential buyers that take the time to throughly read what I wrote will see that I did not accuse the PS of being a scammer, just that due to several things I did not feel comfortable proceeding forward. I sincerely hope that everyone who does a wire transfer is cautious and thinks things through carefully.

Please don’t take my comments as trying to invalidate your experience. You saw things you didn’t like and didn’t proceed. If anything it’s a good discussion to have regarding what the PS world looks like and what to expect and how to perform due diligence. I think because I work with so many of these shoppers on a regular basis I don’t see certain things as shady that certainly could be perceived that way.

Here are the facts:
6/1 - I posted the picture of the bag.

6/1 - You reached out to me to inquire the availability of the bag.

6/3 - One of my new clients received her purchase.

6/4 - My other new client received her purchase.

6/4 - I posted both client reviews on my Instagram page.

6/5 - My SA confirmed the bag is available at her boutique. I have kept you updated between 6/1 and 6/5. I shared my most recent client reviews with you. You expressed that you don’t want to use my service. I apologized to you that I don’t use PayPal and thanked you.

I'm sorry, I just saw this....but luxeality, you are saying you posted your client reviews on 6/4?

When I looked at your IG yesterday, it said you had posted them the same day you told me the bag was available (which was yesterday). The very same day you also told me had two new clients purchasing from you with bank wire transfer, and then sent me direct links to the posted reviews from your two new clients.

Right now I looked again, and it says posted 1 day ago which is 6/5. Today is 6/6.

How are you saying you posted the client reviews a day before you told me the bag was available?

One day ago is 6/5, not 6/4. Sorry about the typo.
Should I have sent you the FedEx tracking numbers that I provided to my new clients so you can see the actual proof that 6/3 and 6/4 were the dates that my new clients received their purchases?
As I have mentioned, one of the new clients actually commented at one of the reviews I posted. Her Instagram name and icon photo are visible. Do you suspect that she is a fake client or from another account?
The new client reviews were posted on the same day as my SA verified the bag is available at her boutique. You find this suspicious so you suspect that my new client reviews are fake or from another account. Are you satisfied that your proof-less suspicions can severely damage one's legitimate small business?

According to you, there are personal shoppers that don't scam for every single purchase, or only for the big ticket items. Are you suspecting that since my new clients only purchased shoes from me so their reviews are suspiciously fake or from another account?
So if Allthesmallthings might want to use my service to purchase an item and if the item isn't worth $6,000 then it is still suspicious that my client reviews are fake or from another account?

I didn't disrespect you or dismiss your past experience being scammed by another personal shopper. I made it very clear in our conversation on Instagram.

Proof-less suspicions have serious consequences and according to your proof-less suspicions, my client reviews are still fake or from another account.

No matter what evidence I can provide, you have successfully categorized my legitimate small business as one of the scammers with fake client reviews.

I just wanted to share that I recently purchased with momoland_tokyo and she was fantastic! I was a bit nervous since it was my first time and she is overseas but she was an absolutely gem, super communicative and fast shipping to the US. Highly recommend her!
Glad to hear you had a great experience with her! One of my friends follow her and I was hesitant about purchasing from her also since she had an item I was eyeing, but glad to hear she is getting rave reviews. What did you purchase? (:

Any one purchased or in the process shopping from this IG personal shopper @chl_couture ???
I wrote a review for chl_couture in May 2020. You can search this reseller and many review will show up. Hope this help!
I just made a recent purchase with her (first purchase) after doing my own research. I live in the US and prefer to buy from here (avoid international shipping). I usually don't buy from instagram (resellers and personal shoppers). However, the bag that I want was sold out everywhere. She's very professional and responsive in messages. I was impressed because she was probably very busy with everyone panic buy before price going up (Chanel). She sent so many pictures for me to review. Bag arrived very fast (I paid $56 for FedEx Express 2 Day) and beautifully wrapped even with ribbon & camelia. Bag was advertised as brand new with tag and that's what I got. I would totally do business with her again.

Yes, I purchased from her (A beautiful Chanel caviar mini), and at the time she used PayPal. Right now she uses Zelle. She is quite lovely and we have since chatted through DM about luxury, and our items on our wishlist. I highly recommend her !
Thanks ❤️

Hiya! Just wanna chip in my thoughts, though another TPFer had responded to your question earlier...

I bought a bag that she consigned and the bag arrived as described. I don't find her rude -- I think she's ok though some may find her rather straightforward. I'd probably buy from her again if I see something I like
Thanks

Hi guys, I just wanna do a PSA that @luxedepartments is a scammer!!! Please report her to Instagram! I recently transacted with her cos she had something that I want and after the money got transferred, she said the current bag in store wasn’t in perfect condition so they’re transferring a new one from another city. On the day the bag is supposed to arrive, she ignored my texts and blocked me the next morning. Looking back I should have known better but if anyone has any experience getting back money from such scammers please help!!! I have screenshots of our conversation before she deleted! Thank you so much in advance
Hi!

I saw something I like on her page
Did u get your bag? Or a refund?

Wow. Luxeality has posted on their IG with hashtags of racism and groundless accusations, baseless accusations, and false accusations. To clarify, I didn't accuse luxeality of anything. I have been very clear on that. I only shared my feelings and my experience, and why I ultimately decided not to proceed with the transaction. I have said multiple times that their business may or may not be legitimate, and that I am not calling them a scammer. I am not racist in any way, shape, or form and racism played no role in my feeling uncomfortable with proceeding forward.
