Has anyone in Canada purchased from an ig seller from USA (eg. orchmellia) or Australia and can comment on if they had to pay duties/customs upon receipt of the item and how much it was approximately % wise? Example if using FedEx or any other postal service, how was the duties and customs? Thanks!

Sharing my experience buying from a personal shopper orchemellia. Her fee is fairly low and yhe transaction itself was smooth and quick. Unfortunately, I received the item yesterday and noticed a defect today. After asking her for my options, it seems like I have to bring it to a boutique myself to see if it can be repaired.

I wanted to share my experience since we are buying items blind!

@snowball33 , this post on the prior page mentions orchemellia. Re the customs and fees into Canada, I don’t know specifics, but I thought I read somewhere that it’s higher than Into the US from abroad. US can be roughly 10% customs over 800 USD plus applicable state sales tax.

For those who are using their credit card assuming they will have purchase protection, I advise you to read the fine print. Under the Chase "What's Not Covered?" section:
- Items used or pre-owned

I would not risk spending thousands and not being able to dispute it if fraud.

I was scammed from charem co luxury. I attempted to buy a Chanel backpack she stated she had. I made deposit and she proceeded to tell me she did not have the bag and I would have to wait. I told her I no longer trusted her because she lied, and wanted to cancel and my deposit to be refunded, and she refused!! Untrustworthy, Beware!!

This is a fault accusation. The buyer paid deposit to place an order for the backpack and changed her mind asking for refund deposit. Deposit is “non-refundable” as stated and I should have kept it to teach her to be more serious about online purchase, but I did refund her anyway cuz I’m not people like here. She wasted my time and I paid in full to get the item. See attached proof that it was Venmo back to her. She used a different name when Venmo.
