Buying off Instagram | Instagram Sellers

TPF may earn a commission from merchant affiliate
links, including eBay, Amazon, and others

Hi!
We don’t allow sellers and buyers to hammer out their differences here, this all should be in private.
If a member makes a negative post about a seller they’re allowed to defend themselves then all other correspondence should be off tPF.

Thanks for your explaination. Is there anything you can do please? I can't find the delete button.

Please do not buy from this IG reseller!

I recently had a terrible experience with Linda Subarli from Kocengayang79.

I pretty much had to chase her up for weeks to get her to respond to me to get my refund back. I could see she’s read my messages but chose to ignore them. I had to resort to an extreme measure by typing in uppercase and use firm direct language as encouraged by another person who I spoke to via FB that had similar experience with her. My request was for her to refund me back in full.

Today 26/Feb she “transferred” (not yet received) but she had taken her “fees” which I never agreed to or gave my consent. I didn’t purchase under a post with her disclaimers or anything like that. She posted it via IG story of an image when I enquired. I feel that she had no right doing that considering the poor experience and the time I have taken to chase her up for updates and now my refund back. The item was by no means HTG, it was readily available in US boutiques but it wasn’t offered where I am located so I had to go via the PS/reseller route.

She was totally unprofessional, rude and poor at communicating updates or expectations. I’m still waiting my for my refund. The fees she’s taken for her service is just plain daylight robbery.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone buying from her. No bag is worth the stress, time wasted or the degrading efforts I had to resort to. I have lost approx $400 AUD (fees, exchange rates etc) in this failed transaction with her.

To add to this, she partially refunded me but she took her "fees" without asking for my consent. Now she has blocked me on IG.
If she's a decent person, she would communicate with me and resolve it, instead of taking my money without my approval and blocking me.

She shouldnt be taking any so-called fees, she is not even a professional business just a reseller

I was reading on Instagram. They all say -SALES are final. No refund or exchange. This what made nervous too what if we see imperfection with bag...

Some personal shoppers do allow you to return or at least exchange the bag or item if something is wrong with it. It helps if you use a personal shopper that sources the item for you and then when you buy it the purchase goes under your name and your purchase history at the boutique, so if you want to do a return/exchange, then you essentially are doing so with the boutique itself and not solely with your personal shopper.

It’s harder for resellers to offer a return or exchange, because the bag has already been purchased. I am assuming the reason most resellers say sales are final is because they don’t want to deal with a potential hassle or risk of being sent back a replica bag, empty box, etc... you seriously never know. These things sound paranoid, but they have happened. I’ve heard stories of people cutting holes in bags they bought from sites like Tradesy or Poshmark in order to be granted a return. Unfortunately when that happens, the buyer gets the refund, but seller ends up with a damaged bag back in their possession that they can no longer sell for the same price.
