I purchased from an Instagram seller and it says shipment on hold and the shipping information was received almost a month go.
The seller said it was because of limited airplane space but I don’t think DHL should take one month

its my first time purchasing from a Instagram seller so I am worried

Apparently the problem was her seller. They ghosted her too. She has been refunding the buyers from her own money since this blew up. If she's on the level, this shows the problem with PS/resellers not having the item in hand. She directed her buyers to pay this person directly and apparently they disappeared after fake tracking numbers, return to sender nonsense where she claimed the bags never came back to her. ETC.
A PS/reseller should never ask to ask a client to pay a third party directly. You don't know who they are dealing with, you presumably did your research and picked the PS because of good reviews. etc. It's bad enough when they have a seller send directly to you. How can you trust it knowing the seller never even saw the bag.
I hope she's telling the truth, and learned her lesson not to do business in this way any more. If she's not, she probably ruined her business anyway. Thank goodness the buyers got their money back.

Here's the problem with @thechicdetail. All she cares about is commission and her reputation. Her business model is questionable and dishonest. Basically she sells for third party individuals - people pay $30 to have her list their items, and once they're sold, she takes 10% commission. The problem is that she only lists for other people even though she claims to consign, YET she doesn't have any of the items in her own possession. So there's absolutely no knowing if 1) the item is authentic 2) the third party seller is legit or 3) if it'll be a safe and honest sale. The worst thing is that MULTIPLE clients of hers have been scammed, yet she does nothing to appease or help the situation. Instead, she blocks the victims and continues on with posting designer items on her page. It's really pathetic. She only refunded the victims yesterday because they posted it online, but otherwise she wouldn't have done anything.

Save yourself the stress, and buy from the boutique, or personal shoppers / consigners who are ACTUALLY legit.

DHL does NOT take a month. DHL at most takes a few days. They're extremely efficient.

The only reason it would take a month is if it was shipped using EMS or another postal service and not courier.

but is the package in DHL's possession or has it not been dropped off?

yes! the fact that there are more than 2-3 incidents with different buyers, is a big red flag! if it was just once or twice, maybe it was just bad luck for her or a careless mistake. but the fact that its been happening to multiple people... something is very wrong. yes there are people defending her, who say they've bought from her with no issues at all, but that doesn't make up for all the other buyers who've lost their hard earned money. there shouldn't be shouldn't be any scam incidents at all! i mean, obviously, if she was doing something funny, she wouldnt do it to everyone cos she still gotta try and keep a good rep and then every now and then mix in a bad one right? the fact that she's blocking the buyers, instead of helping them find the 3rd party, posting about the 3rd party etc, - that just goes to show that either she really only cares about her own commission and doesn't care about the buyer at all, or that she's in it with the 3rd party. how can she keep posting for this same 3rd party that always scams people, and how come she doesn't post about this 3rd party to warn others, if she really is innocent and its all the 3rd party's fault?

also if not for that one girl's story that went viral yesterday, nobody would have gotten any refunds at all. its only because people started calling her out, and then i guess other people started realising that hey its happened to more than 1 person, then she started with the refund.

For the amount of money these bags cost - I would not purchase through a PS. Many - if not most - do not allow returns. I would never pay more money (fees + premium etc. etc. etc) without a return policy. That is backwards to me. Even if it’s a unicorn bag - if I was that desperate, I would rather pay a premium through a reputable reseller site with a return policy or just move on and find something else. No bag is worth the hassle and stress of having minimal recourse if I’m not happy with it or if there’s a defect. Just my opinion.

Wanted to share a positive experience with Gail of looking_for_luxe on IG. I’m on the hunt for a 20A bag. Gail patiently educated me about her PS process and searched for me. Bad news is that the bag is probably unavailable new in the US. Good news is that I will definitely shop with her again. She’s kind, patient and responsive.
