I think the big resellers are being inundated with shipments (whether consignments, sales, or returns) and they do not have the capacity or work force to handle it. I have read a number of times about things being lost by TRR and FP as well as the seemingly intentional lack of response (or radio silence) to questions. Neither seem to have good or responsive CS when issues arise. Normal transactions seem fine, but if something is lost etc., they are terrible at handling it.

This is still not a reason to deactivate an account. Pls find my experience as well. I’m definitely not looking at Fashionphile again.

Never sell or buy to them again! I sold $17k worth over 5 yrs and recently a Celine trio they quotes $200 I sent was fake. I bought it from poshmark! I didn’t know. So they disabled my account. This is outrageous! How do I know if it’s fake or not! In 5 yrs this happened twice. One with a jumbo from eBay and now this Celine. If u can’t sell to them how do they expect u to buy from them???? Just sell over vestiare or real real or rebag. Rebag customer service is awesome. Screw Fashionphile. So pissed off.
Totally agree. I will have to try Vestiare. So sorry I had to go through that. They’re awful!!!

Where do U buy now?

To be honest I have not bought pre-loved in a while.
The last time was in 2020 and that was from an Australian store, The Purse Affair, which I had seen on Isabelle's Style on Youtube.
I was very lucky because she had a promotion/collab with them going on which was a $300 reduction in price (which pretty much paid for tax), had free shipping, and the value of the Australian dollar dropped a lot due to the first COVID wave.

At this point, I would probably only buy pre-loved for vintage hard to find items that are not longer produced and sold in stores.
But at the moment, I am currently not interested in anything, especially with the pre-loved market's inflated prices

Fashionphile is really getting sloppy with their listings of Hermes scarves. I have seen a lot of 90cm silk scarves listed as 140cm cashmere/silk shawls.

I've noticed it too. I usually look at Celine items and I saw when they went from several pictures of an item to often less than four and now they are putting close-up pictures, pictures of the inside of the bag, etc. as the main photo. The level of sloppiness that has increased in the last few months is a little alarming to be honest.

I am currently waiting for refund from them and it has been 3 days since they got my return package. And now I am just so scared… Do not want to buy from them ever again!
I would just make sure to track your package and the instant it shows that it was delivered, follow up with Fashionphile. Hopefully you have your UPS receipt. Even better if you had a copy of the shipping label Fashionphile provided. I’m sure all will be okay. Hopefully my experience is not the status quo!! Lmk how it turns out!! Keeping fingers crossed for u!!

Thank you for sharing your story! I have only sold my bags to them and each time I insisted on in store review. I do not trust their shipping service.

The one time I purchased a bag with them couple months ago left a bad taste. I purchased a channel mini and it was listed as new. When the bag arrived the structure was obviously stretched. The two sides were flat/straight, not the normal indentation. It’s so ridiculous to label that as new.

That’s exactly why I returned my purchase. It was supposedly “new/ giftable” with retail tags attached. Immediately, I noticed the structure was off, the flap was asymmetric, and one side was creased, but the other was not. Strangest thing was the bag itself said made in France while the retail tag said made in Italy!! All those factors left me unsettled so I returned her the next morning. And then you know what happened next. I’m happy to share my experience if it means I can save someone else from going through what I have with Fashionphile!! It was truly one of the most stressful months ever, made me sick to my stomach.

I sold to them recently and they had my bags for about 3-4 days before I received an email from them. I had my payment a day later. They have info on their website and on their phone message saying things are delayed due to staff shortages. I know some people have had bad experiences but my transactions have always run smoothly.

Mine have as well, as I have consigned close to 20k of my things to them. Never any issues. This is why I was and still am shocked at how they handled my case! Completely unprofessional and almost criminal if you ask me. I feel like I was being scammed the way the tried to just shut me out and ignore me, refusing to give my money back and not giving me any explanation whatsoever for their decision. Bottom line, just be careful if you are making any returns with them, knowing that they can do this.
