Yes I will - I know there is a small Cartier in-house boutique at John Bull's on Bay street but I thought there was a Cartier boutique at Crystal Court in Atlantis. Well if I have no luck with Cartier, I can always fall back on David Yurman and Gucci to get my shopping bug fulfilled there!

I remember the Cartier boutique in John Bull. It was quite nice but I don't know the variety of sizes, etc. You hit my two weak spots in Nassau - DY and Gucci. The DY boutique in Nassau is beautiful. I always get a Gucci bag when I'm in Nassau.

haha, weak spots indeed - this will be my 6th trip to Nassau and every time I get something from both Gucci and DY but thought I would mix it up a bit on this next trip and dabble with Cartier - I may even do so damage at Ferregamo as well :p:shame:

Hi Ladies,
I am visiting St. Maarten and San Juan in September and wanted to know what your thoughts were for a love bracelet at either store? How is the pricing, is it similar to the US or cheaper? Since San Juan is part of the US, does anyone know if there's tax? TIA. Appreciate any feedback

Sorry if you already left! Hopefully they all survived the hurricane! St Martin had US prices but no tax. They gave a slight discount on watches only.

Were you able to get a discount in any of the places for a love?

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately my cruise was cancel because it was suppose to set sail Sept 9 - during the time of the hurricane :( hope to be back in St. Maarten and that they recover from this quickly.

I know this thread is old but I was in Aruba and wanted to share my findings. The Cartier boutique was able to offer everything at US prices with no tax (saving 6% off which is the Aruba sales tax). And for watches, all of them are 5% and the all gold watches are an additional 5% making those 10% off. Hope this helps someone!

hi everyone,

I have purchased 3 of my 4 Cartier pieces in the Caribbean. Here's the breakdown:
  • RG Love wedding band (purchased December 2018) and Thin Love YG bracelet (June 2018) purchased at the Cartier boutique inside of the Baha Mar Resort in Nassau, Bahamas. The price was same as in the U.S. but you don't pay taxes. I ended up saving around $500 in taxes.
  • RG Classic Love bracelet purchased at the Cartier boutique in Cozumel, Mexico (November 2018). Price was $100 less than current U.S. price and you don't pay any taxes. Mexico also offers money back at the airport for luxury items in excess of a certain amount. The Cartier associate explained to me that the price for jewelry sold in Mexico from Cartier already includes Mexican taxes. As a non-Mexican resident I am able to get that money back (similar to how VAT works in Europe). I purchased the bracelet in November 2018 and I was refunded the money last week. It takes a bit of time (not instant like in Europe) but I ended getting refunded around $550 dollars.
I haven't had any issues at all with my pieces and i would definitely recommend buying from the Caribbean shops if you have the opportunity. In all instances, the sales associates were very helpful. I got the cleaning kit for each one of my pieces, one sales associate gave me a Cartier candle and another gave me two "coffee table" Cartier books as gifts. All of my pieces came in the traditional Cartier packaging and shopping bag with the authenticity cards.

In contrast, I expected a unique shopping experience when i purchased my wide love ring at the flagship store in NYC and i was very disappointed. No cleaning kit, sales associate was just ok, no extra "gifts" and I paid NYC sales taxes.

I am planning another trip to the Bahamas in May and i'll be staying at the same resort. I plan on purchasing one of the following to add to my collection: Thin Love with 6 diamonds in YG or the Juste un Clou thin in RG. I will bring my existing Cartier pieces so that i can see how everything looks stacked together before making my decision.

Hope this helps!

Just giving an update on Cartier prices in Aruba at the Renaissance Mall. All jewelry prices are same as US prices but no tax. Watches are a little cheaper. Very friendly staff there, was greeted right away and the lady that helped me was very pleasant to deal with. I bought a love ring in white gold. I did not declare it at customs. She also provided a cleaning kit for me, which I did not receive one in Hawaii when I got the YG love ring.
